TL:DR - mediocre, overpriced food and poor service. Don’t go unless you’re on a cruise.

The Windsong resort is designed to cater to cruise ship guests, which we were not. We put our names on the waitlist but they forgot about us. Finally sat us when we asked why we were getting skipped. Took about 15 min to get a waitress. The food was dropped off by someone else who offered to get crushed red pepper but it never came. Our sodas and waters were never refilled. The staff focuses on keeping the large tables of cruise guests happy.

The kale salad was a mountain of kale drenched with store-bought dressing and sprinkled with a few sad, store-bought croutons. The quinoa and black bean salad was a weird, mushy and crunchy paste of uncooked quinoa mixed in mashed beans. Seriously, what kitchen doesn’t know that quinoa needs to be cooked. The pizza was okay. The only good thing about dinner was the seafood chowder.

Waitress avoided us like the plague.
Didn’t check on us. Kept checking the table right next to us.
Food was good, we ordered butter noodles for one of my kids, it is only a small bowl of noodles, no sides. Which we weren’t informed. Had we known, we would have ordered more for her to eat.

Our alcohol beverage sat at the bar while our waitress walked around and did everything except grab our drinks. They sat at the bar for about 15 to 20 mins.

I also had a hair in my food. I ordered fish and chips, the last bite had a hair in it. (Pictured.)

Manager Did comp the fish and chips meal and gave us some dessert.

Most overpriced and mediocre breakfast we have had in Alaska. Definitely read the low-star reviews first so you know what to expect from your dining experience if you decide to eat here.
The 1-star reviews are accurate: overpriced and horrible food!! Wish we had read the reviews before eating here.
Service was subpar, it took a while for someone to acknowledge us at our table. No spoons with coffee, and had to ask twice for cream.
When our waitress asked how everything was, she was told the pancakes were lukewarm, she couldn’t get away from our table fast enough.
A decent waitress would address the issue.
We were surprised by the additional “remote location fee.” We’ve been all over Alaska multiple times over the past few years and we have never seen such a fee. This place is not “remote”, it’s in Seward a tourist destination.

This place has nice, friendly staff and presents itself well enough, but that's about where it ends. Everything at our table seemed slightly undercooked and bland. I had the crab cakes which were horrendously overpriced. They were quite small, didn't have much flavor and were very oily. The rest of my table had fish and chips and had the same issues; undercooked and oily. Myself and others noted how cloudy/dirty the glassware was, so I did refrain from drinking the water. I had hoped the homemade root beer on tap was going to be better, but unfortunately that was disappointing as well. It also rubs me the wrong way that there is no continental breakfast at this lodging due to the restaurant being on site.

The atmosphere was as expected and service was adequate. Our waitress was friendly and did a decent job. The only reason I said decent instead of great is because she was willing to serve food that was sub par. While we enjoyed the charcuterie board before dinner, my partners Halibut fish and chips was way more than “golden brown” leaning towards not quite burnt. My boulliabaise was mostly tomato/onion based broth and had a total of 1 mouthful of whatever whitefish was in it, 1 mussel and 2 butter clams. Seriously lacking in the “Alaskan seafood.” We were first clients on opening for dinner so it’s not like they were running out of it. Also, if you go to the bar before dinner be prepared to close out the tab as it does not transfer over to the restaurant. We were also surprised by an additional “remote location fee.” We’ve been all over Alaska multiple times and for many years and have never seen such a fee. This place is not at all “remote” by Alaska standards. Over all, based on the prices ($280 for 2 people) and quality of our food, we would not come back.

Oh my! This was the best meal the three of us have had on our trip to Alaska! We are plant-based and occasionally eat seafood. There were lots of good options for us in the menu. The setting is FABULOUS! Service was great.

This is a 3.5 star rating. We had both dinner and the breakfast buffet at Resurrection Roadhouse. Enjoyed dinner with a nice salad and fish entree as well as decadent dessert. Service was good. Returned for breakfast and this was less spectacular with ho-hum scrambled eggs, pancakes, yogurt and oatmeal with toppings. Service was OK, but mostly serve yourself. Must say that the views out the windows was spectacular though. Glad that there was at least another dining option close by and also a shuttle into Seward.

My son and I had a great breakfast here and the view was amazing. They have a buffet or you can order off a menu. Very good food, very impressed, we will eat here a few mornings while in Seward.
