We were personally greeted and shown to our room. Our room was beautiful with local wood carvings. We overlooked the bay where sea otters could be seen. The location is a short drive ( minutes) outside of Seward. The location was beautiful and peaceful. If you don’t feel like driving, a sweet bistro is a short walk (5 minutes)down the road. Well where do I start Resurrection Lodge on the Bay was amazing!!! The views were amazing, the rooms were very comfortable and clean. The outside deck was so nice we spent most of our time there enjoying the beauty around us. We had great weather the first day but the second day it rained but that didn’t stop us from sitting outside under the covered deck enjoying the views and playing games. The breakfast was very good and the lodge was open all day with coffee, tea and hot chocolate and fresh baked cookies in the afternoon! The owners were right there on site if you needed anything, they were very personable and friendly and you could tell that they put their heart and soul into their place! I wish we could have stayed longer!!! We will definitely be back and we will stay longer. I highly recommend it you are traveling to Seward Alaska to stay here you will not be disappointed!!!

Our stay at Resurrection Lodge on the Bay was incredible! The room was nice and clean with everything we needed, the bedding was so comfortable and THE VIEW!!! The view is hands down the best ever! The kitchen is open all day with a full view of the bay and mountains. There are fresh cookies every afternoon and hot breakfast every morning. The owners are so friendly! We loved sitting on the deck watching the sea otters swim by, we saw bald eagles and there was even a humpback whale that swam by the lodge a couple of days while we were on excursions. Excursions, activities and restaurants are within a quick 10 minute drive. There are beautiful hiking trails within walking distance. We can’t recommend this wonderful place enough! We loved it! Thank you Kendall and Michelle for a wonderful experience!

I am so glad we decided to stay here instead of in-town for our 3 nights in Seward. It’s not fancy but the location/views make up for it. We were lucky with dry weather so we could enjoy the Adirondack chairs. We loved watching the sea otters and bald eagles and our kids had fun playing on the beach. Having breakfast and happy hour (byob) on the deck were wonderful with the amazing views.|I would call the accommodations moderate quality. The beds and bedding were pretty good, the bathroom was small and dated but clean. Breakfast was pretty good, afternoon snacks and wellie boots to borrow were nice touches. We had a second floor room with big picture windows out to the bay.|Book early- I reserved almost a year in advance and still didn’t get my first choice room.|Also, if you happen to be doing a Kayak Adventure Worldwide tour, the put-in is right down the beach from the lodge. We coordinated in advance and did not have to go check-in in town, we just walked down the beach.

I was a bit disappointed today… I didn’t want to leave!!! The nicest owners/staff, the comfiest beds, the most incredible views and location!!! Surrounded by fjords, the bay and sea otters and more! What an absolute treasure - I feel so fortunate we were able to stay here. We were thrilled to find availability in a king view room downstairs, and a larger one upstairs for another night. Upstairs is the sweet spot if you can get it, it’s super private and quiet. Anywhere you stay in this lodge is a delight though with the dazzling beauty right outside your door. The deck blankets were a sweet discovery and my husband cuddled up with one on a cooler evening enjoying the lazy waves and sea otters bob around in the distance. We are so thankful to Michelle and Kendall and all of the staff here for making our stay so comfy and pleasant. If we are lucky enough to return, we will try kayaking from nearby. We often saw kayakers right off the lodge’s deck - even in the rain. Bring your rain proof gear, as they say, there’s no bad weather in Alaska, just bad gear. There’s much to explore here at Resurrection Lodge right outside your guest room door!!

This is the best place to stay! Note: we actually visited in May. We were attending a wedding and I was dreading it. The last time I was in Alaska it was nothing but snow and ice. No snow/ice helped me to change my mind on Alaska but Resurrection Lodge made me fall in love. The owners are very accommodating and so nice! The room was perfect with the view of the bay. We went on a whale cruise and didn’t see much. Then returned to the lodge to see the whales frolicking about in the bay. It was a life changing experience. It didn’t get dark until around 11pm so we enjoyed just walking the beach. Every morning we would look out and see otters playing together while eating breakfast. I can’t wait to take my family back to this wondrous place!

What a find! We stayed in the lower barn unit. It was wonderful. Roomy, clean, comfortable, and well stocked, they have thought of everything. After a day out, it was so comfortable to come back 'home' to grab some hot tea from the kitchen and sit by the bay relaxing with an amazing view. Kendall was a great host and fun to chat with. He and Michelle have thought of everything. The ladies in the kitchen provided a wonderful breakfast each morning and with the porch heaters and blankets, we could enjoy breakfast outside, taking in the views some more. Without a doubt, next time we are in Seward, we will be staying here.

We had a deluxe bay view room and the views were spectacular. Personal touches such as soft bed linens, soft towels, homemade cookies in the afternoon and homemade muffins in the morning were appreciated. Kendall and Michelle were very hospital and reactive. I would stay here again and recommend this lodge to all. Seward is an amazing place and the lodge is quaint and perfect.
