My husband and I used Residence Inn for our wedding guests for our wedding in October. The location was fantastic and the service was top notch. Kathy, the manager went above and beyond for our entire wedding party. We made sure we were always taken care of. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area.

The food was terrible. it felt like they put hardly any effort into it. 1st night food was decent but found plastic in the eggs. 2nd night food was horrid, and plates that I picked up from the clean section were 3 to 4 plates dirty. I've been to another location, and food was much better and felt like they put effort into it, but this location was truly disappointing. Had to change the room, and all the requests weren't even put into effect. Made the request way in advance and even called it in, and they disregard what I requested, and I am also a member. Love that the parking was free and very good location but terrible on food and when I had to change rooms it was not even a idea of putting my request. On top of that, the room temp didn't stay it kept flexing from hot to cold and cold to hot. Water pressure was terrible, and to get even warm water in the shower, you have to turn the nob all the way to hot. Lastly, I requested towels and whatever else, and 2 hours later, still nothing and had to eventually call. Instead of bringing it to your room, you must go down yourself even if the request has been made way beforehand. When told them what happen they tried to tell me they will request to mail be a 1 free night at this location, honestly I don't think I would be coming back to this location in a long time. Sorry.

Helpful staff. Spatial rooms with full size fridge. The couch is large with plugins. Kathy in sales was nice enough to give my kids cookies and candy for valentines. Just be aware they have a form for some to fill out to reduce smoking and parties in rooms.

One improvement would be adding level 2 ev charging but not a need.

Hotel has gone downhill a bit since our last stay, two years ago. Good location, room size is great. The elevator sounds like it’s dying a slow death. Staff was nice but location was understaffed. Breakfast was not great. Ran out of items and the items they did have were very over cooked. Poor staff member trying to do the jobs of multiple people. Had a complaint about my special needs son who jumps a bit when he stims (we were on the fourth floor), staff was very nice once we explained the situation. Free internet was very slow, had to pay extra for three days to upgrade it so we could use it for work and school.

The staff was incredible rude from the moment we arrived.
I have stayed at hundreds of Marriotts and this was honeslty the least pleasant stay. When we visit the area again we will find a different marriott.
For breakfast at every other marriott I have been to, they begin the clean up process when it says it ends. Here they are closing up 15 minutes before it says it ends. About 45 minutes before it ends they are done making some of the food. They did not seem too happy when we saw people ask for them to replenish the breakfast sandwiches.

On December 21st I checked in the hotel and a hold was place on my debit card for the duration of our stay in the amount of $1420. Seamless process.

December 25, I started receiving notifications from my bank that the hotel was trying to process various amounts, and they were being declined. My initial thought that it a fraud attempt. Seeing that the $1420 was no longer in my account.

Upon returning to the hotel, I stopped and asked what the issue was when I'd already paid. I was told that the system had charged by card $741 and was now attempting to charge the remaining balance of $540. Why? That's not the process. I'm well-traveled. Don't let the look fool you as I'm currently at another Marriot property as we speak. In addition, I do not have a charge on my card for $741; only the hold for $1420 which to this day (3rd) remains.

Check out day comes and a forced charge of $540 was put through on my card leaving me with a negative balance of $540. The $1420 transaction is still pending, and my card is f'd up! There is no charge of $741 anywhere!

To add salt to the wound, no apology has been given, no compensation, nothing.

Unfortunately, as I was leaving one afternoon, the manager was apologizing to a customer that did not look like me for something that had taken place and was offering rewards points for their inconvenience.

Great quiet small suburb / town vibe with quick 20 to 30 minute access to downtown Chicago via I-55. Very clean well maintained hotel with friendly staff.

Among Residence Inns, this one is above average. Nicely updated rooms with a spacious bathroom, well-stocked kitchen, and comfy bed. The outdoor fire and grill are nice amenities you don’t find at all RIs. Breakfast is mostly pre-packaged items, which made the breakfast the only down side for us.
