Everything was great except the reception. One of them is not friendly at all. Not only she did not smile but she looks mad, not happy talking to clients. In my opinion, reception is the first door of business. She supposed to give warm welcome to customers. She might have a bad day. Again as I mentioned the rest is good. Natasha was very nice, gentle and polite.

This was my second visit and received the upper leg/bikini custom, and Nally was my esthetician for the second time. She's always such a joy and I will definitely continue to return.
I also received the Swedish massage, with Lana. I almost told her to just do medium firm, but I'm glad I didn't say anything bc the massage lacked in many areas. She continued to lean on the massage table which moved it and disturbed me trying to relax... when she leaned she would only use one hand to massage me, then took two breaks during the massage to open and drink her sparkling water that fizzed each time she opened it. Lana was pleasant enough, but would have liked the experience to have been better. Especially when I hadn't had a massage in 7 yrs and needed it so badly... unfortunately I was disappointed. My body doesn't feel any relaxed that before my service. I still gave a small tip bc as I said, she was very pleasant ☺️... however, my massage wasn't.

A little self-care never hurts anyone!

My first time here was just last month, 01/26, for a facial treatment with Victoria. I got an excellent recommendation about her from a close friend. I've never had a professional facial before and wanted something to help my dry skin and treat myself.

I wasn't interested in extraction, so we went with the 24 Karat Gold Mask (price:$100). It includes cleansing, exfoliation with ultrasound, massage, oxygen treatment, and the gold mask. It felt great! Victoria was knowledgeable about the products she was using and made sure to answer any questions I had about the procedure.

Today I tried their waxing services and paid $47 for a bikini wax with Natasha. The waxing room is small and quiet. I was out the door in about 25 minutes 🙂

Make sure you call them and make an appointment because if you walk in without one, they may be booked for the entire day. Their location is excellent, and they also get a lot of business because they offer many different types of services.
Parking- I parked near the meter on the street, but they offer one hour of validated parking on 8500 Melrose Blvd (enter on La Cienega Blvd ).

Overall My experience here was excellent, and I'll be back again for a facial with Victoria 🙂

I've been coming here since 1984 and i never felt the need to leave. They give a great facial, use special wax, massages are great and sometimes the spa downstairs is just what the doctor ordered. Besides that it's reasonably priced snd the product line is amazing. I believe Raya's husband is a chemist. I see Nelly and love her but theu are all good.

I came in as walk in and asked about the services. It was my day of pampering and thought after my massage, I would get a facial at Raya since it’s down the street from where I live.
What a huge disappointment! First and last time visiting this spa. The staff at the front desk were not friendly at all, one of them that seemed a bit older with blond hair, couldn’t even be bothered. I honestly should of walked out at that moment. I figured let’s give it a chance.
The lady that did my facial was nice. With that said, it was loud with people talking really loud outside the room. There was also a ticking sound the entire time. The facial was soooooo aggressive, I have never experienced a facial like this in my entire life! I was in so much pain and the lack of delicacy and elevation was incredible. I left there with so much product on my hair, neck, back area and in my nose. I left there honestly in disbelief.
It’s been 3 days since my facial and my skin is so dry, damaged and red around my cheeks and painful. My skin feels so rough. I honestly have really good skin as I do facial routines day and night.
I really hope my skin gets better in the next few days.
Overall, definitely do more research on this spa before going. As my mistake was to just walk in and take a chance on the service. NEVER AGAIN!

Incredible experience at Raya spa always. My mom has been coming here since the 90s. Extremely clean, professional, comfortable environment. I was struggling with horrible breakouts on my face and nothing was working to get it to go away. I booked a facial with Carmela and she helped me figure out which treatments I needed and worked with me to customize a skincare routine for my skin type and problems. After just one session, I saw the biggest improvement in my skin. Carmela was my saving grace; so kind, professional, gentle, and knowledgeable, a true expert. If there is one spa in Los Angeles that I would recommend to anyone, it's Raya. Additionally, their products are amazing.
