**Review for Santa Cruz Ranch**
We recently held my husband's Celebration of Life at Santa Cruz Ranch, and we could not have asked for a more perfect setting. From the very start, the service was exceptional—truly accommodating and marked by genuine hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was handled with care, making the entire experience seamless and comforting during such an important time.
The ranch itself is absolutely beautiful—a serene, peaceful space that felt just right for honoring my husband’s memory. It was exactly what he would have wanted, and we are so grateful to have found a place that reflected his spirit so perfectly.
If you are looking for a venue that offers both stunning surroundings and heartfelt service, I cannot recommend Santa Cruz Ranch enough. It is a truly special place.

This place is so quaint and restful! It's a beautiful ranch with historic and lovely buildings and accommodations. The owners live on site and really make you feel welcomed and comfortable. The breakfasts are really great and they're always happy to answer questions and help out with anything you need. My wife and I felt thoroughly recharged after just a few nights there.
The surrounding areas are picturesque and you can easily spend a day at any of the neighboring towns and other areas that are all close by.
We are already looking forward to our next opportunity to stay here!!

I stayed here for a couple of nights in March in order to visit the area's missions - Tumacacori, Guevavi, and Calabazas. These last two can only be accessed with NPS guides in Jan - March.
I spent a little bit of time walking around Rancho Santa Cruz, taking pictures and taking in the serenity. I easily could've spent more time on the grounds and in the common rooms - the place has been immaculately restored to what it must have looked like in the 1920s! The owners were really nice, and I was impressed with how much work, time and love they've put into this place. I kept trying to determine what was original and what was restored - it's pretty difficult to tell. When I was checking out, I found the father working on restoring a door - so they stay busy keeping up the Ranch.
After an onsite hearty breakfast and coffee, I went just behind the Ranch and accessed the Anza Trail to the east of here. That was a pleasant 4-mile hike on a maintained trail that went through shaded mesquite bosques as it paralleled the river. I also visited the Tubac Presidio, village of Tubac, and a couple of nice restaurants that the owners suggested.
I plan to go back this summer when I can swim in the pool and really take in the stars and sounds of the desert night. I also want to explore more of the Ranch and take better photos. I'd really like to know what stories this place could tell, with John Wayne and others staying there, and all of the history in the area in general. This place is a hidden gem in an underappreciated part of Arizona.

This place is right out of the 1920's, but with current amenities. The grounds and buildings are fantastic. The owner is very friendly and cooked us a huge hot breakfast which was included. I would highly recommend this property and will be going back for certain. A great find.....

We would give 6 stars if we could. What a gorgeous place, beautifully restored to its original glory. This historical ranch is a true gem, with cozy rooms, comfy beds, wonderful ambience, well-groomed grounds - and most important - owned by a gracious host who gets out of his way to make you feel welcome. We felt more like visiting a friend than "just a guest". The interesting conversation over a yummy breakfast was sure the highlight of our short getaway. We will be back, Tony!

RSC is a delightful, historic dude ranch set in the Santa Cruz, County desert of Arizona. We were there to celebrate a dear friend's birthday, and we had our run of the facility. The week we visited, we saw a massive heat wave, but all of the facilities were very comfortable. The owner and breakfast cook, Josh, made outstanding breakfasts during our stay. ||The Rancho is historic, there are no TVs in the sleeping areas, and that was fantastic. It pushed everyone into face to face conversations and and encouraged more outdoor activities. ||Each room and each lounge is uniquely decorated with both local antiques and worldly fixtures. We spent most of our time around the inviting pool area. There are 2 large outdoor cats that are friendly but not intrusive. ||We are already planning our return for next year to this magical place.

We have stayed three different times. The owners are friendly and helpful. It is very clean and a beautiful place to stay. The breakfast is wonderful as well. Highly recommend staying here. Enjoy a quiet place to rest and relax. Close to Tubac, which has some wonderful art, food, and shops.

With luck I discovered this place as I was going to be in Southern Arizona to do dental work in Nogales Mexico. It was a quick drive to the border. And an easier drive to Tubac and all the art galleries!||But I loved the place and loved the owners and want to come back when it's a bit cooler so I can explore the hiking nearby. I'm already planning to come back next year just for fun!||The room was comfortable and the bed too! I loved the grounds and the pool. Breakfast every morning was delicious and I enjoyed visiting with Josh.||There are comfortable places everywhere to sit and the grounds are immaculate. Do not hesitate to stay here when you're in the area.
