I'm a San Antonio wedding photographer and recently photographed a wedding at Rancho La Mission for the first time. It's a unique and beautiful venue that I would definitely recommend for booking a wedding or other event for.

So me and my wife were the winners of the Barn Wedding Giveaway. Which is an amazing thing they’re doing at Rancho La Mission. They gave us $20k towards our dream wedding! They also have just about EVERYTHING covered at the venue. They offer everything from the bartenders, to the DJ, to the wedding planner! Melida is excellent! She knew exactly what needed to be done and how to get it done on the big day. They also provide the food, which was delicious! Everything is included in what you pay all with the venue. They allowed outside vendors as well, which was great.

The venue is absolutely beautiful. It was everything me and my wife wanted. Even though it was pretty cold, their indoor venue was well heated. I was constantly told how beautiful the whole wedding was.

Raul was always just a phone call away if we had any questions. It was nice knowing we could reach out whenever and speak with someone who wanted to help. If I could give this place 10 stars I would!

Lastly, I have to say, Raul and Rancho La Mission gave me and my wife to have a wedding that she deserved. A big beautiful wedding. For that, I will be forever thankful.

Beautiful venue, however I did catch the owner turn the AC off 20 minutes before midnight. And he also let his dogs run through the inside of the venue while the guest were still attending the party. The dogs were quite dirty and may have had ticks. It was odd that the owner was there and it made us feel pressured to leave before the event was over.

The owner shut down my sister's daughter quinceñera just because they pooped confetti poppers,,,,, also over charging for any little things like an table that we had already paid for certain amount of tables we didn't use & we needed one they charge for using it,,,,,, also the owner didn't care leaving all the teenagers on the street knowing that all of them where dropped off by their parents & wouldn't be pick up until the party was over he did NOT CARE,,,,,, HE SAID IT WAS NOT HIS PROBLEM!!!!!!!!! Family member that drove 4 to 5 hrs to come he didn't care either,,,,,,
**UPDATED*
We had apologized, we didn't know about the confetti. We offered to clean and pick it up. We asked for brooms to start on the cleaning and he proceeded to say we needed our OWN brooms.
The owner continue to charge us and demanded we paid $500 in cash!! He wouldnt take card and wanted the money upfront. We didnt have cash in hand so he told us we had to leave because we broke the contract and needed to be out by 9:30.
Once we made the announcement to our guest that we had to leave because the party was being shut down, the owner decided to let us stay. Overall the owner didn't want to work with us. We understand the confetti wasn't allowed and we try to make it right but THE owner was having a major power trip.
On the side note: he also shut down our DJs fog machine. (Which is weird because our dj has DJ there before and never has that happened to him)

Nice place and was very close to our house. Plenty of space as they even had another wedding going on on the other side. The events didn't clash in anyway so says a lot about their management on things.

This venue is amazing beautiful from the inside and out. My husband and I went to look at it in January and fell in love with the rustic atmosphere. We just had our wedding yesterday and the venue was able to turn a rustic atmosphere into elegant. Melida and Raul are amazing people to work with. Melida was there from the beginning to the end while running a whole wedding next door in the barn venue. We had the out door venue with access to the pond and it made for beautiful pictures. All our guest were so moved with how gorgeous the venue looked. We will definitely be recommending this Venue.

Toured this venue for a potential marriage ceremony and reception. The tour guide Luis was great and informative. It is a bit pricier than some other venues that I have toured ( and I have toured several). They have an outdoor ceremony and venue area and an indoor barn to have reception. You can only utilize one area. If you want an outdoor ceremony in the pond or Bridge area with an indoor barn reception, then you will have to rent the entire site. Its possible to have 2 weddings on the same day,, one in each area. Not sure if I like that option. Outside venue has a huge space and stage if you want a band this would be a great option. Overall the site is rustic and sceneric at the same time. The bridal and groomsmen changing rooms can use some updating, just a few upgrades in these areas would make it more suitable and comfortable. They were also doing alot of construction and upgrades so I'm sure it will look even better after they are done. Over all it was a beautiful site and this place is at the top of our list. We had that intimate feeling and connection with this place to have our wedding next fall.
