The room was disgusting. Holes in the shower stall covered with duct tape. Sink nearly falling off the wall. Floor tiling that grabs your soles causing falls. Laundry room closed because roof caved in. Guests must do their own linen laundry at pay washers that are miles away. No breakfast of any kind. Had to pay a security deposit for crappy room. Long term guests smoking cigarettes constantly. Permanent smoke smell outside room. Painful headboard on bed. Small TV and room. Delusional owner thinks he is providing a world class luxury resort for a terrible place. Very difficult parking with many hazards. Big rig parked in the middle of the lot making things more difficult. Dogs left in rooms barking all day. Slightly better than being homeless.

The owners are very friendly and always have a smile! The rates are decent and this establishment is close to a Mexican Restaurant and across the street from the lake. I give it five stars for my opinion. ..I am not giving this establishment "five stars" for its amenities. It's Family-owned and they allow pets for another fee. Their gift shop is very nice...ladies- they sell earrings and other jewelry. Even if you're not staying here...stop by and check out their gift shop!

Great owners and management- very personable. It's very close to downtown Lakeport , and the owners have a decent little gift shop - I don't know if very many people know that!? This is a local motel that's been around for awhile- to be honest...it's mostly for "local folks" and NOT travelers from the City! "Big City Folks" would NOT know how to "handle nor deal with" this place...I'm being very honest! ":)

I had to stay in town for a week for work. They gave me a special rate, and treated me like a celebrity. Room was clean, small TV was great for news updates, and I have a small refrigerator. Plenty of parking. No carpets so great for those with allergies or worries about cleanliness. Situated close to town and all amenities. Will be back!

In the 1960's though the 1970s when I was from a five year old and growing up my parents and family would meet at either Tykens or Southside resorts in Guerneville along the Russian River in Sonoma we and five other close family's would rent little cabins for one, sometimes two weeks every Summer, they were affordable and usually got flooded every Winter so of course te water and silt wear and tear and each and every year we were all at our river resort cabins we were all in heaven every waking and sleeping minute with rare exceptions we were there. This little Motel is kind of like those little river resorts and better as amenities and condition of the units are much better, i can see it does flood here on occasion but not every year as our Russian River and its only about a one hour further North extra drive. Rates vary according to the length of your stay and what I found being a pet lover and "In The Mix Friendly" is a wonderful little Motel, very affordable and really nice people that of course have know how regarding business too. There are 12 units here, most one room with adjoining bathroom and all the modern fixtures needed (They are furnished) if you have problems with pet dander etc.. just bring some fresh bedding you can put on your self and maybe a broom and mop, the little places are quaint, rustic, romantic, affordable and are about 100 feet from the North Shore of Clear Lake, California's largest Lake, of course beach access is a few minutes away, we can see the Lake from this Rainbow's Pot of Gold but to beach, boat & fish it its a five minute drive. Another nice aspect of Lake County (There are 118 Mountain Peaks here) is that compared to other rural areas in our nearby Bay Area, there is little traffic and much more space with lots less people, very nice to get away for awhile. Please also keep in mind time changes things and most reviews that are more than a year old are indeed old news.

This place is disgusting! I booked this place to be close to a cycling event taking place. I brought my mother with me, since there was an extra room. When we went to check in, two men were moving a crummy desk into the very tiny waiting area (one without shoes on). I paid an outrageous $116 for the one night. When the door opened, you could immediately smell cigarette smoke (in this non-smoking room). I complained and was told "they can't stop people from doing what they do." The floor was gummy and filthy. When the hostess opened up the couch - which had sweat stains all across it, there was melted crayons and crumbs all over the horrible mattress. There was no clock, no working phone, the fridge froze the contents, the remote and hairdryer were too disgusting to touch, there was hair and stains EVERYWHERE. It was the most disgusting place I had ever been in my life (and I have stayed at many places). There were no other rooms left in town due to the event. I never took my shoes off, and all my clothing went into the dirty clothes bag. It was not long before we realized that all the family members appeared to be living in the other rooms. There is no pool, no wet bar, no coffee maker, no clock, and the tv remote and hairdryer are too disgusting to touch.

Very small room, broken remote (off/on and volume), could've been a tiny bit cleaner, but charming and welcoming anyhow. Comfy bed, heater worked. Outside seating, across from lake. Very reasonable rate. Off season.

This place is a cozy spot, with a safe atmosphere. Pet and people (kids, adults & even evacuees s too) friendly. Rooms are decent, not extravagant, but not shabby either. Slightly old fashioned in a solid, real-feeling way. I like it.
