I stayed at this Quality Inn on Christmas night 2024. The room had been prepaid by my daughter. When I arrived the clerk required my credit card. As I gave it to her I explained that it was prepaid and please don't put mine through because it would overdraw my bank account. She said it went through on my daughter's credit card and mine was not charged. On the Dec. 27 my bank notified me that my account was overdrawn. I called Cat, GM at the hotel and she told me it was my fault for giving my card to the clerk when asked and the money really isn't out of my account it just being held and the hold would be released at midnight of the 27th. Of course it was not corrected. Today I now have a $36 overdraft charge and if anything else comes in there will be another $36 dollar charge. I called the corporate site to complain and basically was told tough luck oh and it will be 7 business days before this gets corrected. Also there was nothing they could do because there is a local owner and this was their problem. I called back to the hotel and was unable to talk to a person of authority and basically was told she was too busy with breakfast and she would call later. I came to Keokuk pick up my grand kids at my daughters and the whole time I have had no access to the money in my checking account and the hotel could care less. I've stayed many times over the years since my daughter moved there and have for the most part I have been happy with my stays. This is for the birds. Double charging a Grandmother on Social Security is just horrible business and blaming me for giving them a credit card when asked well. You decide if you want to stay at a hotel that does these things and the corporate complaint line takes 0 responsibility.

Clean, friendly, quiet and close to places/food. Breakfast bar and host were great! Would definitely be back!

DO NOT COME HERE!!! I mean do not come here they must delete bad reviews you’d think being the nicest franchise and 130$ a night would get you some where came down here with my family to go geode hunting and we where afraid of bugs got the nicest hotel on the market everything seems great lady at the desk was sweet pool and hot tub was nice room appeared clean everything went great until we layed down I got bit everywhere my eye brow is swollen my foot and wrists are swollen I have video proof of the bites and bugs and there only option was putting us in a different room they did not care they knew they where dirty and there was no mercy we will not be refunded and corporate will be hearing about this I’ve never had to Karen so hard! Are you joking Not only we will be at risk to bringing these bugs home they were small enough to fit in the tip of a charger everything has to be trashed.

Pool was "under maintenance". Snack machine empty and out of order. Staff was rude. Juice machine was out of order (only had coffee or pop for kids breakfast. No milk for cereal. Floors were very uneven upstairs and felt unsafe. The picture of the tiling was in our bathroom. This place looked "Getto"

Not happy! I am a Choice Rewards Member and stay in a lot of hotels with them. If this is what Award Winner Quality Inn is considered, count me out! Staff great, you can only clean a rundown hotel so well and they obviously do the best we can. Pool area was also good as well, in regards breakfast, there was a bus of people that came in and those women worked their butts off and kept everything well stocked, hot and the table clean. But seriously, the rooms we were in 212 and 214 the floor sloped downwards towards the head of the beds!! We got one of the kids balls and laughed as it did. The hallways on second floor had huge scraps also the walls and smelled very musty as did our rooms. Don't get me started on the bathrooms, again very old and they were clean best they could be. We had three small kids with us, came in around 4, but if it had been just my husband and i would have asked for a refund. If you must be in the area I guess it will do.

We were put in a room that had a really bad smell!! We asked to change but they said they were sold out!!! They gave us some spray for the smell which did nothing. We also felt the breakfast monitor was more like a drill Sargent!! We missed breakfast by arriving at 9:00. We’re closed. No other hotel stops serving until 9:30. We were offered nothing. Then on one day there was no meat. We were told the meat was in the gravy. You can have biscuits & gravy. I told her I was lactose intolerant couldn’t eat the gravy. Sorry that’s the way it is!!! No protein anywhere. Very disappointed with the lack of interest in their customers. Going to try competitor next time.

We stayed here for three nights with a large group of 90 people. They were amazing. They had the rooms grouped into women, men, and married couples. It made it easy for us to assign and hand out. Mary, who did the breakfast was GREAT! She kept all of the foods filled and would get anything else needed. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Thanks for taking such good care of us!
