I went to Poseidon Spa a couple weeks ago to celebrate my friend's birthday, however it was not a positive experience. I have been to multiple spas domestically and internationally, however despite the five star price tag, we did not receive 5 star service. My first complaint is we were told the lockers did not lock and therefore we had to walk around with all our bags, clothes, and shoes. Secondly, the masseuse showed us to our room but let me know the heating pad did not work for one of the massage tables. Did not offer a solution just something I would have to deal with. I found her and let her know I did want a bed with a heating pad and said she'd have to split us up into seperate rooms if we both wanted a heated massage bed (we had specifically purchased a couples massage in order to stay together). Then the masseuse asked if I wanted medium or firm pressure and I replied firm. Then proceeded to tell me she doesn't really do firm -_- massages but she'll do what she can. During the massage I asked for more pressure as it felt more like a rub down than an actual massage and again there were excuses as to why she could not really provide more than light pressure. And again for the prices this spa charges, with no real perks (no saunas, stream rooms, whirlpools, etc.) included, I expected a higher level of service. And of course they automatically added in 20% gratuity even though that was not earned. I would not recommend.

I had a facial with Ginger and I can’t say enough kind words about what an amazing job she did on my skin! With all the cold weather in Alabama it has dried my face out completely and she put so much hydration back into my skin. I also had a massage the same day with Tiana and she did such an amazing job. I came from out of town and after my arrival I noticed how stiff I felt from driving the whole day and I feel so much better now!! Not to mention my face looks so smooth and fresh! Highly recommended!

Went to the Poseidon spa last weekend and had a facial and massage. My husband & I soaked in the nice relaxing tub there and it was very nice and rejuvenating. Susan did an amazing job. We both followed up with facials with Ginger and she did an amazing job. We needed this experience. The manager Alexis was very kind and brought us both champagne and made sure our needs were met l.

I just had a personalized facial, and my skin feels amazing! I’ll definitely be coming back. If you visit, make sure to ask for Ginger—she’s amazing! Everyone there seems very polite and the spa is beautiful!
