Out in Chicago for a conference and asked where to get some good food. Ordered both the Dog and Italian Beef. Chicago Dog was super good, saved the Italian Beef for later and it warms up pretty nice. Also had the onion rings. For a fast food joint was pretty good. Plenty around the Chicago area.

It was around 10:35 am ...they have kiosk you can order so you aren't waiting in line ...never recived receipt .. took them 10 min to get order place was empty ..I could see 8 employes doing something else and only when I ask for order then(online orders aren't even ready ) suddenly it's ready one of employee did said something I thought she used profanity which I did confront here about it she said I have manners and then she said mmm I just walked away and they where laughing about it ..hot dog is messy full of mustered all over ingredients are falling apart picture shows it

Ate at two different locations. The hot dogs were delicious. The limited- time strawberry and lemon cake shake takes an acquired taste...it wasn't bad, just not great. Will definitely revisit.

My favorite place in Chicago hands down! It's 50's style decor nearly hasn't changed for decades... But they offer kiosks for ordering if you dine in. They have the best Italian beef sandwiches, and I look forward to eating here every time I'm back in Chicago. It's a clean and family friendly experience. Don't forget to order the shakes... And they're also known for their chocolate cake. Just come hungry.

A Chicago favorite, this location is very efficient moving the line, and even though it's busy, the food is prepared with care. I've had portillo's enough to know how it should be coming out and it always does!
You can't miss the chocolate cake shake and if you're eating fries, definitely level it up with some cheese sauce. It's going to be a tough choice I'm warning you, Italian sausage or Chicago beef with peppers? Either way you can't go wrong.

The location is clean, The staff is friendly, service is efficient, and the food is delicious. What's not to love?!

One of our favorite locations! Excellent service, hot, juicy food, & plenty of atmosphere. Clean, neat, hits all the right notes. My favorite cheeseburger *anywhere* and my partner got the jumbo Chicago dog, which he said was phenomenal. Hot, perfect fries as well. You will be very happy if you eat here! 😋😋😋
