I discovered Plumb + Pine when they had their 2nd Wellness Soirée last fall. I was really into SkinCeuticals at the time and wanted to shop the sale and learn about their services. I had the pleasure of connecting with owner Jen, who is very warm, refreshing and genuine. A licensed cosmetologist, she dreamed of creating a space offering results-driven skincare: offering advanced aesthetic treatments a little bit higher than what you get at a spa and just below what you'd get at a dermatologist/plastic surgeon/med spa. I loved hearing her story and vision and navigating opening a new business during the covid lockdown. I also really appreciated that she didn't push selling pricey services to me that I didn't need. There is sooooo much sales pressure in the beauty industry, it was refreshing to meet a local business owner who wasn't pushing that.

I already had access to most of their services between two estheticians at two other local businesses, so I didn't really see myself needing to add a third day spa to my rotation. However, I continued to shop their sales and I was quite interested in DMK Enzyme Therapy as I had never seen anything like it before. I wasn't planning on investing in any more skin treatment series, but this past January Jen documented her journey with DMK StemZyme therapy and her results just blew me away! I had started having a very severe flare of rosacea that was really killing my self-esteem. They wound up doing a deal on StemZyme and I decided to take a leap and try it before they increased the price.

Advanced Esthetician Ashley Pearce had reached out to me on Instagram, she had recognized me from shopping their sales and following their Instagram posts. She is such a wonderful esthetician and I am so glad that she sought out my business. She is beautiful, talented, genuine, passionate and cares so much about her clients. My favorite thing about Ashley is that she is trustworthy. Like Jen, she does not push sales and actually helps you eliminate areas where you can save your money, a refreshing rarity in this industry!

StemZyme therapy and the enzyme mask aren't as relaxing as traditional facials for me, but by George, they induce results! I find myself borderline intolerably itchy about halfway through the mask, but then it subsides. I am READY for it to come off at the end of the 40 minutes! I have also been focusing on gut health, lifestyle changes and stress management which has also really added to my results. If you're willing to take the journey and do the work, StemZyme can really transform your skin's life for the better. I have spent a LOT of time educating myself and dabbling with all the various aesthetic procedures over the past year and a half or so, including CO2 laser, chemical peels, neuromodulators, OxyGeneo Glo2 facial and Diamond Glow. It has been a fun journey, but StemZyme, DMK, and Ashley P at P+P are definitely going to continue being part of my skincare journey over the years to come! Also of note, P+P is the ONLY place in town offering StemZyme therapy!

While Ashley P is the one for me, all of the estheticians here are wonderful and passionate! They seem to have a sense of ownership in partnering their services with Jen and P+P, proudly documenting the results of their clients on their individual Instagram pages as well as the main one for P+ P. Most places are posting stock industry photos on their websites, not actual results with clients. Their successes with their clients are living expressions of Jen's dream of results-driven skincare. Nice work, ladies!!

I would be remiss if I left out one other important, amazing, special lady in this glowing review...Spa manager, Chris! She is so genuine, friendly, warm, funny and beautiful inside and out! She loves what she does and it is infectious and delightful! She strives to ensure you have the best experience and always makes sure you get full value of any sales or deals they have going on. July is their birthday month and this year, they are 4! They have some amazing specials for you to take advantage of!
