Excellente! Flavorful, unique, & generous. The flavor of their mole and horchata tell you that they pay attention to detail and eat their own food.

The food was delicious! The drinks were ok.
Our server was very nice. The kitchen missed our meal ticket so our food took a very very long time to come out. They apologized. Our food did eventually come out and then we waited longer for another set of silverware. Then we waited a long time again for our check.

This place is the spot. The ambience and decor is great. The food is delicious. Everything tastes really authentic and fresh. We have come 3 nights in a row. Our server Alejandro was the best. He was super attentive every time. He’s on top of his game and just super cool. The margaritas are beautiful and some of the best we have ever had. Finally the salsas are so tasty!! We will for sure be back

We stopped at Plazuelas on the way to Yosemite. We were seated promptly and the place appeared pretty full for a week night. We were excited to see the menu - gorditas, sopes and huaraches! Sopes were excellent and the gorditas - not so much! They were clearly fried before and served later. The huaraches were very good! They were able to accommodate one of us who is vegetarian- although the gorditas had the brown beans which are typically not vegetarian so def ask if you do end up ordering (although I really wouldn’t order them) The jamaica agua Fresca was pretty decent. Our server was pleasant - though service was a bit slow. The enmoladas were served with a roja mole - we had that with chicken and it was very good! The table was served with chips, and there is a note in the menu that after the second refill, customers will be charged. We were also charged $5 per salsa serving that we ordered with the chips (there is a note about that as well that we missed) all in all, it’s a good one time visit if you are passing through!

Jesus was our bartender, great service and fun watching him making drinks! Our chips and salsa came out very quickly right after sitting down. My fiancé and I both ordered margaritas and our meals were the Carnitas and the Salsa Roja Enchiladas with carne asada. Both were amazing! We loved it and would definitely come back. We’re here on vacation and wish it was closer to home. Haha we live all the way back in Northern Michigan.

Sat at the bar and had a great experience! Not your typical Mexican-but in the BEST way. Guacamole was great-creamy but flavorful. Chips are thicker and delicious. Had the enchiladas mineras with steak and chicken enmolades-both delicious! I’m a wimp when it comes to spice so I couldn’t handle the mole here. 10/10 - would absolutely return!

We often stop at Las Plazuelas when we visit the area. The food is good and authentic. The service is always very friendly and professional. The place is clean and spacious and I really like the decor and ambiance. We ordered a birria quesadilla and flautas both of which were really good and gone before we left. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars for the food is because the birria was a little more oily than usual but still good. We will be back again.

This is an excellent Mexican restaurant that serves traditional Mexican cuisine and knows how to make a real margarita. They don't skimp on tequila or use mixes. The staff is very friendly and the decor is nice. Quite busy when you walk in, while looking nondescript from the outside.
