The Pioneer Hotel is a decent place to stay although I'm sure you can find better. I've spent quite a bit of time at the Pioneer Hotel and the service is good people for the most part are kind, the facilities are not all that kind they could use some clean up.

Quiet neighbors, room is small. As you walk around you can feel that historic vibe this building holds. Sadly the bed bugs made a home in this entire hotel since the 1900s. But douge and the others are friendly and helpful thanks guys for bringing us in when no one else did.

Staying here in the past was an okay experience, now its constantly like walking on eggshells. The manager was once kind an understanding, but now seems to make up rules for everyone to follow as he sees fit. Almost feels like staying in a halfway house (not that I have). People shouldn't be made to feel like they are constantly being watched and scrutinized for every little thing. Manager plays favorites and turns a blind eye to many people that he likes, while putting up with nothing from those he doesn't. He'll give someone a 48 hour notice over a $5 debt, while letting people who've ASSAULTED other tenants remain for months while they find another place. Save your sanity, its not worth it.

Where I lay my head... A place with an undeserved shoddy reputation based off of prior management days. Doug and staff have long "took out the trash", and work hard to make it a clean, safe, and comfortable place to call home.

Bed bugs. Hotel management is nice building is older and nice but the bugs made meal out of me. Sprayed room twice and changed rooms and did all laundry before moving in to new room, but still had them.

Doug the manager is a super nice guy and helpful. He takes pride in keeping the hotel up to code and the tenants are aware and informed ahead of time what is expected of them during there stay. And the location is well let's just minutes away from anything you might need.

This place gets a bad rep, i have been for for a min. People that cause the the trouble are not allowed here but sneak in and when manager finds out he makes them leave. So instead of saying its a bad place, try getting to know those who consider it home and you will find out we are just like everyone else who is just trying to live a peacefull life
