My husband and I stayed at Pine Hollow 3 nights the weekend of Galena's Fall Festival. Our stay at Pine Hollow was wonderful. The room was very comfortable and Larry was a perfect host. He was friendly and made us feel very welcome. It was extremely quiet as the Inn sits in the middle of forest and a stream. We saw hundreds of leaves falling from the trees like snow. It was amazing. In the early evening, another couple had a fire going at the fire pit and we joined them for a while. They were also very nice and we enjoyed talking with them. We will definitely stay at this Inn again. Thank you Larry for your hospitality. We truly enjoyed ourselves.

My wife and I just did a 3 night stay over the Labor Day weekend. We could not have been more pleased. The location is so quiet and serene. The room was very nice and the Inn is such a nice place. Larry made us feel welcome from the first moment we met him. The breakfast he provides each day is fresh and delicious. We did a fire in the fire pit the last night and had a great time sitting around the fire with another couple that was staying there and getting to know them. We saw deer on grounds twice. We will absolutely stay here again and will recommend it to anyone we know.

We spend two nights at the Pine Hollow Inn. It is so quiet and peaceful, we loved it! Our room was very clean and comfortable and we loved the fireplace. It was so nice to relax at the end of the day with a fire. There are only two or three rooms in the inn so you pretty much have the whole house to yourself. It is close to town yet far enough away to feel like you are living way in the country. There is a nice little river in front of the house and the stars at night are amazing. The owner, Larry, makes a real nice breakfast. A fresh baked pastry, yougurt, fresh fruits, orange juice and coffee. Perfect breakfast. Also Larry is a very nice man. I would recommend this B&B to everybody and if we come to this area again we will stay here again.

We had a wonderful second stay at Pine Hallow. The innkeepers live right down the road and are very kind and hospitable. The house is very cute and well kept and feels just like home. They just opened up a 3rd room at the inn, but the property and the house still feels private and quiet. Would highly recommend this property for a couple looking for a weekend retreat or someone interested in exploring Galena with all the comforts of home!

We have just returned from a weekend getaway to Pine Hollow, and we were not disappointed. So very relaxing, comfortable bed, large room, cozy fireplace. The property is gorgeous, and Larry was a perfect host. Delicious breakfast and coffee. We will be back again!

Pine Hollow Inn is located on several acres of hardwood forest. With a wrap around porch and expansive view of meadow scattered with hardwood walnut trees, creek, and hillside makes for a beautiful contemplative setting. Rooms are carefully maintained keeping a hint of antique charm combined with modern conveniences. Loved this place and will go back again. Book well ahead of time if you are planning to attend the fall arts and crafts festival in the city park. Other attractions are historic house tours and dozens of restaurants down town on Main Street.

Pine Hollow is EXACTLY what I was looking for! The ultimate getaway! It is beyond perfect in so many ways. 5 minutes from downtown Galena, yet insanely secluded and private. The only noises you hear are the bugs, wind, and babbling brook surrounding the property. Larry & Sally are super welcoming & make you feel right at home! A wonderful place to go. I will absolutely be going back!! Thank you!

Wanted a little getaway weekend for our anniversary. This was our first time in the area, so we were a little unsure of what to expect of this place. It exceeded our expectations. A delightful place to get away from city sounds and relax, yet be so close to all Galena has to offer. Warm and inviting shared living area, with well appointed private room with private bath. Breakfast included a variety of fresh fruit (real not canned), qood quality yogurt, real OJ, cereal selection, coffee, teas, and fresh homemade baked goods that were delicious. You may want to be aware, if you plan to do any of your own cooking, that while there is a microwave available, there is no stove/oven available. Was not a problem for us. Who wants to work on a getaway weekend anyway? Owners, Larry and Sally were friendly, helpful and available as needed, yet never intrusive. Will definitely come back and recommend highly to others.
