The ambience of this historic home was a treat. Built in the late 1800's, it really felt like you were travelling back in time. Lots of natural wood, rockers in the parlor and on the veranda, plenty of reading material and soft early 20th century music playing in the background made for a lovely experience. Breakfast (served on china) was excellent and having home made chocolate and lemon cake available upon arrival was a treat. The room we had was a generous size and comfortable. |For awareness: no check ins before 3 pm. That was fine with us, but something which could be an issue for others. |We only booked one night as we were on our way through Pensacola, but would like to return for a longer stay.

This place is as advertised but for one grievous omission: not handicapped accessible. While the 150 year old home is interesting, it has over twenty stairs to the bedroom. There is no banister along the large steps to the front porch. And no ramp to the porch. No handrails in the tub area. So if you are old and your knees hurt, you may not be able to manage this. The landlady, Barbie, is friendly and gracious. Just not for me.

Very nice old-fashioned B&B. Big room. Comfortable bed. Friendly landlady. Tasty breakfast. Free parking. Convenient location close to downtown Pensacola restaurants and attractions. Like a trip back in time to the previous century…

Beautiful bed and breakfast, and the owner was very sweet. I stayed for my wedding night, and my husband and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! The breakfast was also super delicious! I had a wonderful time and would love to come back to stay for the weekend.

What a beautiful and well kept historic home. These special places are not easy to maintain, but Barbie (Innkeeper) has done a great job in keeping up with the nuances of an old house. We enjoyed our overnight stay and quaint breakfast in the morning which we shared with other guests. Very walkable to all the Pensacola downtown locations to eat and drink.

I am surprised at the 5 star reviews for this place. They must've gotten some type of incentive. I've stayed traveled a good bit and stayed at many b&bs. This one was the worse. The whole atmosphere is odd. I emailed Barbie (I don't think that is how she spelled it) before I booked. I explained in tbe email that there would be 2 people. The next morning she was surprised, not expecting and had not planned for an additional person for breakfast which sh announced in front of everyone. This was after we all stood around downstairs what the arrangements were for the meal. We ended up leaving and nit even eating there since it would've made us late for our engagement. We had the larger room in front of the house. I can't recall the name. This experience was last Aug of 2024. It was extended hot outside. When we arrived the room inside was muggy. The sheets on tbe bed smelled sour as if they'd been left in a washing machine in the heat. The extra day bed was squeaky and loud. There is only a curtain between the room and the bathroom. So no real privacy for two people. The whole house is old and needs attention. It was overall just creepy. But fir the price it's an OK place to shower and lay your head. It was not an "experience"

After a 12 hour deep sea fishing trip, this was the most relaxing part of my day. The house and rooms are wonderful. Reminded me of growing up in my family home in the deep south georgia. High ceilings and wood everywhere. Slept like a baby that night. Got up to a wonderful breakfast. Started out with a bowl of strawberries, grapes, melon, fresh hot coffee, and a pitcher of orange juice. Then some delicious French toast and bacon. It just don't get no better!!!!!
The host Barbie is wonderful. We had a very pleasant conversation about the house while dining.
Can hardly wait to visit again!!!!
