We had an Awards Banquet there for 110. Food was great, service was great, they setup everything, tables, chairs, linens, plates, silverware, they even have multiple centerpieces to choose from. This is a NO-HASSLE, EVERYTHING-DONE-FOR-YOU option, and we love it... we even booked our next event here the day after our last event!!!

The owner was very rude at the end of the party my friends and family had there. He called the police on the us when we were talking in the parking lot. He also charged for 200 people when there was less than 100 and charged for 3 tables that were never used. There were several hidden things in the contract he never told us about. Never going there again

Me and my Husband just got married at this location on Sept. 23rd of this year. Everything from the decorations, the colors, the drinks and food, photo booth, cake, bar, dj, photographer and everything was perfect!! I walked in early to get ready their with my bridesmaids which the room we got ready in was perfect and just looking at the colors and table center pieces, altar, tables was more than I even invisioned I cried before I could even get ready they made the whole process so easy to handle and walk you thru it all I messaged Cathy about a million times for questions and she helped and answered all them no natter how dumb I thought the question was or how late I asked it. It made our wedding planning so much easier then stressing about every little thing. We loved everything about our night and people are still talking about it how good the dj was and how cool the photo booth was. I wouldn't of picked a better place to have our special day than here and Jerry was so nice and helpful also no matter how busy he was. THANK YOU GUYS FOR LETTING US HAVE OUR SPECIAL DAY THERE WE LOVED EVERYTHING!!!

Had a wedding here over the Summer and was extremely disappointed with the performance and behavior of the owner. We clearly instructed Jerry several times to have the room set up with circle tables on both sides and were assured that this would happen only to walk into our own wedding to see the room set up exactly how it was the night before when he hosted a quince. After texting Jerry about the mishap he simply said it was to late to change anything and offered no compensation for this.
The incompetence and potentially criminal activity only increased from there on. The bar tender left a tacky price sign behind the bar up even though Jerry assured us it would be taken down since we were running a bar tab. When my mother reminded the bar tender of this he scoffed at her and left it up until the MC and myself went over and yelled at him to take it down. The bar tender took it down only to put it back up during dinner and speeches as they converted the bar to cash during that time instead of closing it as we had agreed to before the event took place. It was requested and made clear several times that we didn't want to include top shelf liquor on our bar tab but several friends and family have confirmed that they were offered and received top shelf products such as patron on our tab throughout the night. When our 3k tab which Jerry assured should last throughout the night ran out at 9 pm just as the dancing part of the reception began, I knew something was wrong. I requested the bar tender to provide a print out of all the drinks charged to our tab and she said that Parkway does not track that and will not provide it. This led me to a dilemma of shutting down the bar at my own wedding or continuing to give these people that I can describe as incompetent at best more of our hard earned money, a terrible position to be in at your own wedding reception. After the reception ended I again asked the bar tender to provide me a record of what was charged to our tab and she refused once more claiming that they do not track that which led me to the conclusion that the tab was either being padded or that top shelf liquor which we instructed the venue to not charge to our tab several times was anyway, the latter is something that I have confirmation of.
After confronting Jerry about these concerns he became super irate which led to a screaming match over the phone. He let me know that there was a record of drinks charged to our tab but he destroyed it the morning after the party, which seems very suspicious given that I requested it the night before several times and was told it didn't exist. After several arguments Jerry eventually agreed to refund our guests that were charged for drinks and a portion of the tab that exceeded the original 3k tab. He offered 20 bucks for setting up half the room wrong and made the excuse that the table cloth vendor didn't have enough circle table clothes but did happen to have the exact number of rectangle table clothes to match the layout that was set up for the quince the night before. To this day I have never seen that 20 bucks.
All these issues are problems that you do not want to deal with on your special day. Jerry is only interested in details and actions that are not his business and miss the major things that he's responsible for such as setting the room up as requested and agreed upon, running a bar with transparency and as agreed before the event, and having professionalism when confronted with all of the above issues. As you'll see in other negative review responses and likely the response to this review, Jerry always has to have the last word and will never be wrong. If you have your wedding with Parkway I hope the execution is smoother on the day of than what we experienced!

I had a pleasure of photographing a wedding at Parkway Banquets in October 2021 and let me tell, this venue did not skip a beat! The decor, the seamless flow of events, the staff, and the food were all top notch! But most of all the way the venue made everyone feel like family from wedding guest, bride & groom and vendors included. Was so impressed!

My husband and I had our reception at Parkway, June 8th of last year! We’re now just getting around to leaving a review. Jerry was flexible and very kind! Everything looked beautiful and we had such a wonderful time!
We were able to trade having no alcohol for a cake and sweets table which was SOOO beautiful (touch of sweets in Lake Zurich). Our only complaint is that the open bar (non-alcoholic) that we paid for ended up being a few random drinks in pitchers. That was a little disappointing.
Other then that, I would totally recommend Jerry and trust that he does a great job!

We just had our wedding at parkway and it couldnt have been more perfect! jerry and his staff go above and beyond to make not only me and my husband, but our whole family feel like family. they absolutely nailed every detail. even things I didnt think of. i honestly cant say enough good things about parkway. the scenery is amazing, the staff, the venue, the food, everything is just perfect.
