This may be a bit out of the way, but the meat here comes straight from the nearby V6 Ranch and also sits near the San Andreas Fault line. A good place to stop if you're dominating the trails here or taking photos here.

What a great place out in the middle of nowhere! Parkfield is this tiny little town on 18 people, and yet they have this great restaurant and outdoor music area! I'm sure it is busy during the day, but we got there around 6pm and there was only a few locals there.
We got the Cowboy chicken club sandwich and a bacon cheddar hamburger. Both came with fries and both items were so good! The chicken sandwich has grilled chicken pieces mixed with an ranch dressing avocado, onions, lettuce, bacon, tomato and Jack cheese on a toasted French roll.
The hamburger was cooked perfectly and had bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle on a toasted bun.
We also had their Mud Pie and it was so great. Great ice cream, with a oreo crust and lightly drizzled chocolate fudge sauce and Heath Bar crumble!! Yummy!!
The outdoor seating area is rustic (picnic tables), but perfect for the area and very nice grass area and music venue.
Great food and atmosphere, we will be back!

My words have no way to praise this cafe as much as I’d love to. This place is quite literally a hidden gem that all should visit and enjoy. The building itself is so cool and feels out of our time. The staff have always been very kind and attentive. Both times that I have visited, it was a spur of the moment thing. I was absolutely not dressed in a way that I could blend in. However, not once did I feel like I didn’t belong or was out of place. This is considering I had a big blue jumper and a bright orange DUFF beer beanie during my last visit! Fantastic environment and all my praise to the staff. The food itself is even better than I can describe. Everything feels homemade and from a better time. I’ve tried the steak sandwich, cheddar bacon burger, and the award winning burger. All were amazing and, in my honest opinion, UNDERpriced. They could charge me double and I’d keep coming back. But that just adds to it. Just visit them, you won’t regret it!

Rustic mountain cabin-like eatery. You feel like you're in the Sierras. The food is great and it's unique. You sit on real saddles at the counter or at handcrafted tables and chairs inside or out.
The owners and friends make you feel at home.
Parkfield is known for its shakes so be sure to top off your meal with one! I had chocolate.
Beautiful oakladen drive. We saw a family of antelope and a big wild boar along the way. I had an awesome sirloin steak sandwich.

We have gone to Parkfield and the restaurant many many times. Staying over night several times over the past almost 20 years. But last Saturday our food orders were wrong. The onions could be taken off one of the sandwiches. The other was soaked in Mayo, which had been requester to not put Mayo. on the steak sandwich. I brought it to the servers attention.
Then the owner John came in and wanted to make it "right". He said he'd buy my lunch. Great, so he gave me a twenty. I waited and waited for my lunch. Turns out he paid for the messed up sandwich but NOT MY LUNCH! I LEFT WITHOUT EATING!
I had told him of my family tradgy and he seemed so genuine.
NOT SO! I AM SHOCKED AND DISHEARTENED BY HIS BEHAVIORS!
