Just returned from an outstanding stay at the Parker Palm Springs! I was so delighted with the stunning mid-century decor, grounds and our room. All of the common areas are decorated with such beautiful period style. Probably, even more importantly, the food was excellent, the staff everywhere especially the concierge were concerned with our experience and satisfaction.
Our experience and satisfaction with the Parker made our stay in Palm Springs all the more enjoyable.

Stayed here over the weekend after evacuating from LA. It was a mess! I understand you all were super busy - I get that, but the service was on par with a 3 star Holiday Inn. I had to wait 50 mins for breakfast as a guest. Your guests are your top priority, and you should treat them as such. Cancel your outside reservations to make space for the guests that are struggling. In the end you will have happy guests and more dollars spent. The management at the Parker needs some serious business training.

Room was fine. Corner room, no light, paint on the walls did not match to cover the stains - found this to be funny.

Go stay at the Colony. Lovely staff, small and they care.

Please reach out to me, I would like to talk further.

The Parker enjoys a lovely setting with extensive grounds gardens and unique and original decor. For the most part the largely new hotel staff try really hard and remembers your name etc. that is all good. The room I had was large and comfortable . But where the Parker really lacks is in food quality and pricing. Its main dining room is beautiful and club like but not open Monday and Tuesday . Its staff are mostly new and that shortage of experience is true elsewhere in the hotel . The food is at best average steak house certainly nothing special .
But it’s the hotel check in and offering that really lets this unique property down. The counter staff aim to please but the prices are very high. Moreover its offering is misleading on its website it offered two discounts breakfast included if you join its Legacy hotel program and a special the fourth night free. Watch out when leaving the breakfast isn’t included if you joined their program it’s only included if you pay full price. Secondly I ordered a hamburger which came wrapped when I tried to eat it it unwrapped and leaked grease and juice over both my sweater and pants . They agreed to dry clean it these complimentary
At checkout as I paid my 3000 bill for four nights spent on the property they attempted to charge me for both the dry cleaning and the meal. When I protested the about 100 charge they said they would reverse it . I agreed to just receive their final statement by email only to open it at the airport and find they had reversed it and then reversed it again because of the fourth night free rate.i never did receive the final statement nor the promised compensation. I don’t know if that was intentional or not but it certainly does not sit well with me.
On balance a unique way overpriced property with poor customer service at the check in counter. Gimmicky and untrustworthy discounts and a bit of attitude from the green jacketed head at the check in counter. Stay for a night or two to see the gardens eat elsewhere and watch the charges.you can be sure mistakes will be in their Cavour. 5 star properties do not nickel and dime and offer excellent service and food quality. The Parker does not come close .

I love The Parker in Palm Springs, one of the leading hotels of the world, and always seek them out for their luxurious, private, and casual vibe. Recently, I brought my very senior parents to Norma's for lunch and decided to try the lobster mac & cheese. The presentation was beautiful, with a creamy and toasted topping, but unfortunately, the kitchen hadn't sifted through the delicate lobster properly, and I ended up choking on a piece of shell.

As I struggled choking, the waiter noticed and quickly left to get help. Thankfully, I managed to dislodge the shell myself before assistance arrived. The experience left me feeling quite uncomfortable, especially when they asked if I wanted to continue my meal or take it home. To top it off, The Parker requested my contact information for security purposes to file a report, which felt a bit weird.

Long story short, I survived the lobster mac & cheese and would suggest trying something else on the menu.

Note: My senior parents are very upset that the chef didn't pay attention. "The chef almost killed you," my father keeps saying. I hope he can get past this.

Have stayed here many times over the years and it’s such a great place to hide for a few days. Great food, decor, and gardens. Spent time in the spa for New Year’s Day for a massage and nail services. Perfect breakfast at Norma’s. Front desk team (Omar) was great to us and we appreciate the hospitality.

Disappointing. Visited last weekend, stayed 3 nights. I have dined at the Parker in past years, but this was my first time staying on the property. My partner had wanted to stay at an Airbnb with more space and a private pool, but I suggested the Parker so he booked it. I have stayed at 5 star hotels ( four seasons, fairmonts, small boutique) and I expected the Parker to be in the same ballpark. It fell short of my expectations, I would rate it a solid 3. My partner was very underwhelmed, I was slightly embarrassed I had recommended we stay there. We will not return unless we hear that improvements are made.

The good & not so good……

The grounds are beautiful. There are winding dirt pathways lined with flowering shrubs, cacti, and manicured grassy lawns. Multiple fountains, and numerous outdoor spaces to lounge & relax in the sun. No street noise.

The hotel interior is unique, filled with well curated mid-century modern furniture and decor. However, there are signs of wear and tear. Walls & trim need repainting, carpets have staining. No fresh flower arrangements, or at least I didn’t notice.

Overall the service is subpar, and the food is mediocre . Waited over an hour for a wine bottle opener to be delivered to the room…. Finally just decided to just grab a drink in town before our dinner reservation. Room was clean and housekeeping did a great job emptying trash & turning down room. Room service trays were left in hallways from the night before and breakfast…. Not picked up till midday…. Which isn’t a huge deal, but just looks a bit sloppy. Slow service at Normas and lounge. Valets were quick and friendly. Front desk staff is fine, but not overly accommodating or warm. When we checked out we were asked if we enjoyed our stay, when we responded with, “It was ok”. They made zero attempt to ask what could be approved. We are not big complainers, normally just choose not to return to a business if we do not have a good experience.

It’s a decent hotel, but I do not believe it should be advertised as a 5 star hotel, even 4 stars would be a stretch.

I had a terrible experience at the Parker while evacuating LA for the fires. This is absolutely not a 5 star hotel, neither the service nor the rooms.

The manager was rude, short and cold. I had my terrified cat with me, I was told my room wasn’t ready. I asked if there was a place I could briefly have my cat use his portable litter box after the long drive, I was asked if I needed doggie bags. I told them no, it’s a cat. They then told me the cat can use the garden as a bathroom? I told them I can’t let my cat run wild it’s a cat. It made no sense. They were sure to shove a $200 per day pet agreement to me in the midst of this. There was zero empathy or problem solving. I ended up setting up with my cat in my car for two hours (with a soiled carrier). I was so overwhelmed I cried. This is not how 5 star hotels treat their guests. There should be kindness, and going above and beyond to find a solution.

When I got to the room, there were so many stains on the carpet and peeling paint, the dust on the ledges and air vent was terrible. I couldn’t open the windows as there were no screens. My room was missing a chair by the table, bed comfort was that of a futon, and the sheets were so starchy and bleached. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. I left a day early. This room is worth $200 tops, not 800-1000 which is what they charged.

The valet was unbelievably kind. I was embarrassed I cried I was but valet was empathic and accommodating. He gave me a spot to park and take care of my kitty.

We made a last minute booking at the Parker last weekend to get Same day reservation and walked in all frazzled with a family of four. The gentleman at the front desk...believe his name was Omar took us in right away... gave us a wonderful room and tried his best to do whatever he could to accommodate us. Although the hotel was quite packed and probably influx of LA fire guests...the vibe was wonderful and service was great overall. Thank you to Omar for all you did to accommodate us last wknd.
