This restaurant has received mixed reviews from customers, with some praising the service and food, while others have had issues with the quality of certain dishes.

Some customers have mentioned that the Rueben sandwich was full and delicious, while the codfish was overcooked and thin. Others have enjoyed the Bloody Mary and the BLT and burgers.

One customer noted that the service was good, especially considering that they only had one server for the entire restaurant. They also appreciated the extra fries that were brought out to them.

Another customer praised the beer selection and the happy hour drinks, while a third customer enjoyed the comfort food and the late-night food options.

However, some customers have mentioned that the restaurant has a cash-only policy, which may be a drawback for those who do not have access to cash.

Overall, it seems that Paradise Bar & Grill has a loyal customer base, but may need to work on consistency and quality control to meet the expectations of all customers.

Service was good considering they only had one server for the entire restaurant. The food was good and ok… the Rueben was full and delicious, the cod fish was not so much ( thin and overcooked), Cole slaw I would pass on, the French fries were way under cooked.
Oh by the way… you need to pay with CASH or check as noted in the permanent sign. See photo of the sign … they have an ATM on site if you didn’t see the sign.

Food was good. Bloody Mary was great! BLT and burgers were great! Service was good. They brought out extra fires for us just because! Good beers on tap. Would come back.

Where to begin... We went to this restaurant last minute due to the fact we had to stop at our Bank. Anyway, we both ordered our food. It came out pretty quickly, due to the fact it was easy food. But when we paid, my husband paid with a $50. The total was $33 we tipped $7. He only received $3 cash back. We unfortunately didn't realize this until we were almost home. An hour away. We would NOT recommend this place.

They claim “Best Bloody Mary” and it’s just a way to get you in the door. It’s a $9 Zing Zang. You’d think they’d at least have house-made mix with that advertising. Otto’s in Galena has house-made mix, go there instead.

Cozy, neighborhood vibe smack dab in the middle of heavy tourism. Excellent new pretzel bites on the menu and great cold pours of fireball and crown apple on the ready. Other entertainment includes a couple of African albino frogs in An aquarium that like to mate, shuffleboard, and even an old still operating mega touch machine. Like many places in Galena, they are cash only.

When a sign says family friendly dining, I would hope they would actually be family- friendly. I get that it's a drive bar. We wanted a quick casual meal for our family with young kids. The first thing the waitress said was, I don't know if we have lids. I told her we'd try out best (she found lids). My kids were tired but cooperative and quiet for the most part too. Things were going well (iykyk). As we were getting ready to leave. 2 of my 3 littles quickly ran over to the slot machines.... and I was instantly reprimanded by another waitress that the kids couldn't be there even though I called for them to come back and I was already enroute to take care of the situation.
Also, no kids meal options. Don't advertise things you aren't.

Stopped there yesterday for late lunch. No one to seat us so we had to seat ourselves. Flagged down a waitress that called over another that was waiting on our table area. After that, service was okay. I ordered the Italian Beef since it was described on menu as "best beef sandwich in town". Well, I thought the beef was tough and chewy and tasteless. The au jus helped a little but the quality was nowhere near what you would get at Portillos or Buona Beef. I thought the fries and coleslaw were good. My partner ordered the fish sandwich, and he said it was just okay. We had beer and wine with our meal and they were reasonably priced and the wine was a generous serving. The atmosphere to me, had a college town bar vibe to it.

The server gave me the wrong plate. After I ate a few fries and stuff, they gave me my plate, which is fine. But gave the first plate to the right customer. Now that is wrong. They should have made a new plate. Plus, I had to use their ATM, which cost $3 for a fee. Because they only do cash.
