We stayed in a Luxury king sized bedroom on the 7th floor for 3 days and 2 nights during Thanksgiving and Black Friday. The front desk staff is impressive and professional. They embody "service with a smile" and made us feel very welcome. ||The room is spacious with a sliding window wall facing the golf course. Even though we weren't there for the golf course, we appreciated the view that overlooks San Gabriel city. The provided office space is ample and modern.||Outside of the furnishings, the flooring is little worn and the bathroom is a little dated, but overall, it is still a great room. The Black Friday pricing was $179/night with free parking + taxes, which came out to $389.64 for two nights.

Everyone at the front desk is so friendly and helpful. They make you feel welcomed . Parking was free. They gave me a room with a beautiful view of the mountains. My room was so clean and comfortable. I loved it, it’s a beautiful environment to go with your loved ones. I’m going to go back pretty soon.

Little bit mixed review of this resort. The staff is lovely, kind & helpful. The view from our room is spectacular! The pool & patio area is just beautiful. The Red restaurant & bar is nice, though set up a little weird. The food was good & with very large portions. They need to have snacks at the bar for people that arrive later in the day! The Sally Spa here is fantastic & beautiful! The hotel its self is definitely in need of some upgrades as it is pretty dated & worn, especially the bathrooms. The bedding needs improvement, especially the pillows & blankets. There is just some modernization that needs to happen here, such as the meal voucher system is tacky. A bit of improvements & this hotel would be a gem! The Ike golf course is tough but beautiful. The abundant bunkers need sand badly, they are rock hard, but the greens fees are extremely reasonable, though the practice range kinda sucks but the balls are included.

Truly enjoyed my stay, the staff here is so polite and dining at RED is always great. I woke up to an amazing view of the valley stayed on the 8th floor. The room is nice and perfect for a getaway. Also the dining selections at Red are so amazing, and drinks as well.

Beautiful pool area. Nice room. Terrible elevator service. It literally took 30 minutes at times to get the elevator. We used the stairs but that was very difficult with luggage. Honestly, no valet? For the guests that are disabled, I can’t imagine how difficult that would be. ||The hotel is very beautiful but pretty dated.

Disappointing Stay for the Price

Stayed in The Deluxe room for $181.50, and honestly, you can find much better options at this price—some even with in-room jacuzzis. The room was small, and the hotel lacked basic amenities like large towels. Security is also a concern, as the curtains don’t fully block visibility—someone with binoculars or a telescopic camera could easily see inside.

Had an issue at The Red restaurant. Issac and what I assume was his manager (older white man with glasses) handled the situation poorly. Over a $20 beer tab, they immediately resorted to threats—suggesting they’d remove me from the property and even my room instead of offering to charge it to my stay. It felt like they didn’t believe I was a guest, and frankly, I found the whole situation racist and unjust.

Overall, the hotel is decent, but the lack of hospitality and security concerns make it hard to recommend.

I am trying to get resolution to being double charged for a $206 dollar meal at the property restaurant. The bill was applied to 2 rooms and paid twice. The hotel has directed me to submit through the credit card company, but I still don’t have resolution months later.
On checking in, my room had not been cleaned, and I had to go back and have another room assigned. The original room was to have 2 beds and the other room assigned was a single king. I was given a roll away to sleep on. The reason given to me was that they didn’t want to pay overtime to have the room clean.
I’m very disappointed in my post stay experience.
I would appreciate a call back and have left messages with your office.

FOLLOW-UP. I still have never received a phone call from the hotel. I have not been refunded the amount that I was double billed. AND I figured out today that the tip I left at the restaurant was overstated on my credit card. Whomever entered the tip gave themselves a little extra too. I would never have caught the $6 extra if they didn't already over charge me $190, but that adds up if you take extra $$$$ on a couple of tabs here and there. Watch your bills.

Pacific Palms Resort has the potential to be a 5 diamond resort, however misses the mark where so much potential can be made.

On the outside the resort is stunning. Driving into the resort you are greeted with beautiful signage and a friendly gate attendant that guides you on your way. There is ample parking on the right for visitors spending a day at experiencing one the many amenities. To your left a nice driving range and driving straight forward brings you to addition parking for hotel guest.

As a solo disabled driver, the amount of handicap accessible parking came as a pleasant surprise as there was so much availability.

Upon entering the hotel, the lobby is massive. My front desk check-in experience was very pleasant. The front desk agent was very friendly, welcoming and informative. I'm very used to valet parking so having to self park and unload was not an experience I had expected at a resort. The front desk agent i believe his name was Michael did find a bellman to walk with me to my car and provided services with bringing my luggage up in the cart which was very helpful.

Once I entered my room that's where the facade of beauty started to disappear. The size of the room was very decent however the room is very very outdated for a lovely resort. My bed sinked in , my bathroom originally didn't have a shower curtain, bath tub cracked and simply not the cleanest or best kept room. I travel with my own pillows and blankets so I never realized it was missing bedding until my partner wanted a blanket and pillow once he arrived and I stated my room doesn't have any.

Trying to call guest services from the phone did not work so he did head down to the desk. Again experience with the front desk was pleasant.

The resorts amenities are very nice. The pool area had amazing views, the golf course provides two 18-hole courses, golf carts and a PGA store to add to your collection of goodies. The resort also offers a spa which i did not experience at this time.

I did take time to adventure around and noticed some elevators down for maintenance, dined in the bar area and enjoyed shooting pool.

I came here for location as it's not too far from la or orange county but still provided you with a nice getaway. While I was here they rang in the new year with a very fun disco new years eve party, however I was not quite prepared. Had I know prior to check in I would have planned to attend the paid event.

The bar experience was very fun with friends and food was delicious.

My overall experience here was decent however my stay did not meet my expectations when I think of four star resorts and diamond resorts. As someone who writes and blogs their solo trips and experiences in hotels, I would love to see this resort make the major improvements to rectify my review and truly earn 4 stars. During my stay I did not experience continental breakfast services , but the complimentary parking and wifi was a nice feature. My only other disappointment i must state is the $100 authorization PER night is very excessive which led to me shortening my stay to just a two night stay instead.

My final verdict. If you are here for location and amenities then this is an amazing place, however if your like me who also loves a luxurious day enjoying a nice room . Then this place falls short in hospitality upkeep and until room renovations are made you are better off staying elsewhere as the cost of rooms per night do not provide the quality and up keep of a room you are paying for.
