The Oz Lodge is in a quiet neighborhood about a 10 minute drive from downtown Seward. The cabin has a lot of bunk beds that are extremely spacious and perfect for larger groups. There’s rustic decor, good heating and insulation, lots of board games, and a fully stocked coffee and tea station.

The hosts were extremely friendly and helped set up firewood for a cozy campfire just outside the cabin. Would highly recommend for any large groups traveling to Seward!

This was my first time traveling to Alaska and Heather made it unforgettable. We were welcomed with freshly baked cookies and a thorough tour of the bunk house. All directions were clearly posted and communication was stellar during our stay. Heather even offered fresh herbs from her garden when we told her we were cooking our catch from the day! The beds were soooo comfortable and it was the best I slept all week. I will definitely return to Oz Lodge!

Oz Lodge was an amazing place to stay for our large group! The beds were comfortable and I am raving the breakfast and dinner that was included with our stay. The lodge is a short ways outside of downtown Seward and is surrounded by trees so you feel like you are enjoying the great outdoors. Another incredible activity at the lodge was the sauna - which really helped me to sleep well after using. The hosts are ever so kind and gracious. I strongly recommend Oz Lodge for anyone looking to have adventures in Seward.

Had an amazing experience with Oz Lode, Matt and Tim were welcoming and friendly, we were set up for many adventures. It was a great launch point for all our activities, sea kayaking, mountaineering, glacier exploration, hiking and fishing. The food was delicious and the bunkhouse gave an incredible sleep, set an alarm or you'll sleep till noon! Would absolutely return.

We had a great time staying at the Oz Lodge while visiting Seward! Our hosts Heather and Tim were super attentive and helpful during our stay. The lodge itself was well equipped with board games and entertainment, and there was a fire pit set up in the front with plenty of firewood to keep it going through the next. We loved our time here, and would definitely come back again!

Saw the ad on Facebook in the spring OZ Lodge and recommended it to our “Brothers Retreat” group as a possible annual destination. We communicated with Tim on the phone multiple times and he took his time and answered all our questions about the trip. We felt confident enough to book the trip and flew out on September 5th. We all were a bit skeptical about Alaska since none of us ever been there and after getting home safe and sound we are all left with warm memories that will last a lifetime. Tim and Matt are amazing hosts that everyone can learn from….they truly care about each and every guest that walks through their door. They have warm and open personalities which is a rare sight to see nowadays. Our stay was amazing…the room was clean and had all the amenities we could wish for. Location is picturesque with woods, mountains and waterfalls all around. Food was delicious and plentiful. We also got a chance to experience their incredible mobile sauna which was delivered and setup for us at the lake side. The location is close to Downtown Seward which has a lot of activities like shopping, boat tours, fishing and much more. We had an amazing week here…took a sightseeing tour on a sea plane(must-do) for an hour, 4 hour boat tour and saw a bunch of whales sea lions and birds(amazing). Overall we all had an amazing time in Seward and can’t wait to come back to the Wizards of OZ Lodge.

Absolutely amazing stay!! Sooo cute, and feels big! Easily slept 9 of us and had a bed to spare! Minutes to downtown Seward. Hosts were also so nice and helpful! Felt like we were back at summer camp with all the bunks! Would 10000% recommend! (We are 9 adults but my kids would also have LOVED it!)

Very hospitable hostel, Matt and Tim were wonderful - very good people. Beds are like sleeping on a cloud. Room design is very wild and organic. Short drive to boat and plane rides. Look no further than the Oz Lodge - if I ever come back to Seward, this is the place.
