We were visiting Galena and ate at Otto’s place. First let me say the food was fantastic! I got the daily frittata and I have never seen eggs so fluffy. My partner had the breakfast tacos and they were very tasty. The coffee is always very high quality so make sure you order that as well. If you are visiting galena make sure to check this place out.

Otto’s Place in Galena is an absolute gem! My best friend and I started our day here before exploring, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The food was outstanding—we ordered the French toast, the Country Skillet, and the special salmon lox frittata. The frittata was unique, with the salmon cooked in, topped off with fresh ingredients and a delicious side salad. We also enjoyed mimosas and a Bloody Mary to round out the meal. Everything was so incredible we came back the next morning! If you’re in Galena, Otto’s Place is a must-visit spot.

This place looks and feels great.
Really nice friendly vibe.
I ordered the French toast and it was disappointing .
It looked perfect on the plate but when I cut into it it had not been soaked at all,
They must have dipped it for 2 seconds and 90% of the inside was just bread.
Honestly this happens more often than it should, especially in busy restaurants where chefs are trying to keep up with high volume customer orders.
I mentioned this to the waitress and she told me she would tell the cook.
The sausage was good.

We love Otto's Place!

The food, the service, the location and the building it is in.

The servers have always been super kind and very willing to help especially if you have questions about the menu or any specific food.

You know a place is good when you have to make reservations and the reservations are almost always booked solid and you can go there and wait but you're going to wait typically 45 mins to get a table.

Totally worth it but some people don't like to wait

Their cinnamon rolls are the best!! So moist and so much flavor.

03/29/2924 - Otto’s is a quaint, small restaurant just off downtown Galena. We ate breakfast there the last morning of our visit to the area. It came with high recommendations and was worth the visit.
Seating is limited, so reservations are recommended.

The food was delicious and the service was top notch. Egg dishes were fresh and flavorful, pancakes were moist and tasty, and the salmon lox was delicatessen quality. Most importantly, the coffee was excellent.

Otto’s is 5 stars across the board.

Such a cute spot in an old 2 story house. The apple home made pop tart was delicious. I also really liked my sweet potato hash with a sunny egg and goat cheese.

When being served upstairs in this lovely restaurant, you see how hard these servers are working. The stairs alone! Friendly service, delicious food and copious amounts of coffee.
