A wonderful place along the beach. It is a break from the modern high rise buildings. The place was warm and inviting and has a private walkway onto the beach. Lilia, the house manager, was fantastic. The breakfasts were delicious and filling. The evenings included wine, cheese, and other items and was a great opportunity to meet the other guests. It was a very pleasant stay.

We recently spent 3 nights at the Original Romar House. Really enjoyed our stay, the inn itself is full of character, with a fascinating history. The best part of the stay, though was meeting Lilia. What a lovely and welcoming ambassador for the B & B, (and a wonderful cook, too!). She was a delightful host, and the heart and soul of the show!|We get down to the Orange Beach area once or twice a year, and have stayed in several different places, but from now on, the Original Romar House will be our go-to destination.

What a fantastic vacation! The beach access, swimming pool, hot tub, rooms, main bar area, breakfast, but most of all Lilia the innkeeper, were just perfect. We were a large group of 10 people but also met 2 other couples, so there was a lot going on. Lilia could not have been a better host to all of us. Breakfast each morning was delicious, and we very much enjoyed eating together on the deck outside overlooking the ocean. The charcuterie board and wine each day was also a nice surprise. All rooms have their own full bathroom, and were all very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this B&B to either couples or large groups, and we will be back, and will be bringing more with us!!! Thanks again Lilia!!!

We fell in love with The Original Romar House and Lilia, an amazing innkeeper. This reminded us so much of a Key West B&B as well as one we used to stay at many years ago on the Jersey Shore, the Sandy Hook Cottage. This is an older home full of charm, antiques and unique pieces. Expect a leisurely, relaxing time - not party city. There's plenty to do in the area for partying, but this place is special. It's a quiet oasis among the high rise condos, steps from the beach, and with a lovely pool. Breakfast is off-the-chart amazing - each morning you can expect a plate of mixed fruits, a savory and a sweet option as well. Some of our favorites were the eggs benedict, peach cobbler, fluffy scrambled eggs, an apple tarte and perfectly crispy bacon. The 4 pm wine/cheese each night is a great chance to get to know your fellow guests, and the back covered porch is a great meeting place rain or shine. We don't live close, but would make a special trip to come back again some day.

What a fabulous experience! The Original Romar House just made our vacation. The inn is clean and well-maintained. The food was top-notch, and we appreciated how they took care of our dietary request. We stayed in the Parrott Cottage, and we loved having a kitchen and room to spread out. The kitchen is small but very well-appointed. It had everything we could need. The grounds were pretty, and it's private boardwalk to the beach was fantastic. We liked that it was on a relatively quiet part of the beach, without a ton of high-rises. Rae Ann and Lilia were the best hosts, and we will definitely be back.

The original Romar House is amazing . The B&B manager, Lillia, served delicious buffet breakfasts that were made from scratch, wonderful wine & cheese evening gatherings, and made sure every guest felt welcomed. We will definitely stay here again.

This is the third year my wife and I have visited here and it is just so nice and pleasant. There is easy beach access with a walkway only 2 minutes from the beach. There is a nice porch to just sit and relax, and there are some rocking chairs as well. There is a nice bar inside if you want a drink. There's also a wine and cheese hour at 5 PM. Lilia is a great innkeeper, she is so sociable and just an overall wonderful person, and a great chef for our breakfasts as well. The rooms are so clean, and we love the artwork as well. We have definitely made this a tradition and will be back next year.
