We just had our wedding reception there and it was amazing! The service, the food, the venue all exceeded our expectations. Sandra was excellent to work with throughout the process. Things we loved: being able to buy our own alcohol, being able to decorate the day before, having a full taste testing ahead of time, bringing in our own desserts, the old world look of the venue - the bricks, bar, lighting, and wood floor, the service team packing up all of our decorations and left over alcohol for us to get the next day, and Ingo, the chef, being able to accommodate an allergy on the spot by preparing a different plate of food.

I looked for a venue for my husband’s birthday party on 5/14/22. I contact three locations with good reviews. Of those three, Ingo (chef/caterer) contacted me the same day! I’m in sales, so that’s an automatic win in my book. We worked with Ingo and his lovely wife Sandra. Sandra went out of her way to help decorate and make the party successful. Ingo made food to die for! My guests are still raving about the food. They are wonderful to work with and extremely accommodating. If you need a venue for a party, give them a call. You won’t be sorry. They knocked it out of the park.

Throughout our search for a reception venue, we considered over 120 different places. We were thrilled to finally find Old Towne Hall (OTH), which offered the perfect combination of affordability, ease, quality, a DIY bar, and a personal touch. OTH is run by a husband and wife team who are proud of their food (and they should be!) and the historic building that they've refreshed and renewed. They did a great job on everything, and we wouldn't have changed a thing. We especially recommend that you have some sort of pork dish, because it was downright phenomenal.

On the day of, they were able to accommodate all sorts of odd requests: like filling up every other bottle of beer with water for the groom so that he'd stay sober. They were even prepared to host our ceremony inside the venue in the event that our outdoor ceremony was rained out. That flexibility and attention to detail is just one of the many things that you'll love about OTH. It was great to feel that so many aspects of the reception were taken care of, so that we could focus on each other and our guests.

Above all, Old Towne Hall is leaps and bounds more affordable than any other comparable service we were able to find, especially because you're able to BYOB.

EXCELLENT VENUE!!!!! Owners, Ingo & Sandra are awesome! We had our wedding ceremony & reception recently there and our expectations were beyond exceeded because they were so attentive to every detail from food, our toddler not running off, our guests having a great time and much much more. We enjoyed them being present during our special day, we had so much fun with them. The food was amazing and our guests love it. The updated bridal suite is beautiful. Sandra makes sure everything is running smoothly during the planning and day of the event. Staff is fast and friendly. Highly recommend them if you are looking for quality without breaking the bank. WE LOVE YOU INGO & SANDRA!!!!!!!!

We had my sister's reception at Old Town Hall. The guests raved about the food, especially the beef that was part of the Wisconsin Supper Club menu. My sister wanted apple crisps for dessert, which Chef Ingo added. They were a huge hit. Ingo and Chris were very accommodating and helped create memorable and affordable options for my sister.

Sandra and Ingo are the very best! They catered our rehearsal dinner as well as our wedding. The menu was amazing and the food was delicious, our guests were very pleased with the food. Sandra was very professional and helped make sure everything was communicated properly with our venue. I highly recommend Old Towne Hall for any catering needs!

I just had my wedding here 10/01/2022! Everything about this venue is amazing. Ingo, the chef, makes the most delicious food. Sandra was able to get back to me quickly with any questions I had, and I truly felt like the only bride she had, even though I know she was juggling a ton of events! I loved being able to set up the venue the night before & pickup the decorations the next day. The venue is gorgeous, plenty of room without being overwhelmingly big. We loved being able to pick out our own alcohol based on what our guests would drink & keep whatever wasn’t drank! We got so many compliments on our venue and our grandparents even booked their 60th anniversary reception here! My #1 biggest thing I would never change about my wedding was having it here!

Karen and I are thankful to Sandra, Ingo and their team at Old Town Hall in Crystal Lake for an outstanding job. Our 50th Fiesta Anniversary Wedding Party was great fun and the food was delicious. They did far more than preparing and serving a great meal. All were courteous, helpful and made hosting the event easy. Their work let us enjoy the party also. Ingo made the food delicious and included kid friendly items also. He also prepared wonderful deserts that were better than we could have ever hoped. Sandra expertly managed all the other needs too numerous to list. She is very professional and friendly. Her response to any concern I mentioned was "I'll take care of that" and she DID!
We highly recommend Ingo and Sandra for your next event. They will make and serve great food so that it's a total success.
