This was an great experience, would stay here again if I came back to Chicago! Location is awesome, right in the heart of downtown Chicago, just a 10 or so minute walk from the Loop. In the same building as the check in desk there is a deli that a must for breakfast.

We get in early one day, and left late another day, so it was awesome that the front desk held our luggage.

Rooms were very clean and comfortable, only problem is that it got SUPER hot in our room one night. The front desk told us that, unfortunately, the temperature of the rooms is not controlled on a per-room basis. Fortunately, we were able to open the windows until the room cooled down.

Wonderful! The location is perfect, within minutes of walking to hundreds of great places, the rooms were super cozy, clean, and perfect for 1 or 2 guests not too noisy. The best part was the staff, they were very friendly and terrific! We will definitely be coming again. I highly recommend it for an affordable and comfortable stay!

This hotel was even better than expected! The staff are friendly and helpful. It sounds like to have free parking, you need to stay there for 5 nights, but we luckily met that criteria when staying here. The location is great and allows you to walk pretty much anywhere you want downtown. The room was a great value and made our trip to Chicago even better.

I was stranded in Chicago from Madison, WI over Christmas 12/24-27, with nothing except my wallet. The Ohio House staff were extremely friendly and helpful during my stay. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the building feels safe. Not ever being in Chicago and stranded they were even kind enough to let me use long distance for free to help make arrangements home. They were so attentive to my needs and helped navigate me to get food and to the Greyhound as well! The rates were really amazing too. I just want to thank the staff for their help navigating the windy city and making an "out of towner" feel safe and welcome when I needed it the most over the holiday.

Convenient location and parking. Clean, simple rooms. Heating is a bit inconsistent the 3 times we've been here and is controlled from the office. But the price point is good and right in the middle of Chicago.

I liked the retro feel of this place--a genuine motor hotel with a parking lot right in the middle of the city. The front desk personnel were nice to a one, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I did have an issue with not being able to control the temperature from my room, though the front desk was understanding when I requested that it be made a little warmer. ||However, I was plagued all weekend by noise, not so much from outside traffic but from inconsiderate neighbors, talking, singing, banging and crashing around, every noise amplified by thin walls and sound-reflective floors. Ear plugs and a white noise app on my phone were only partial solutions. Signs that noted "quiet hours" were mostly honored in the breach. The location is prime, with easy walks to transportation and a multitude of places to eat. However, honestly I don't think I'll choose this place again. I need my sleep.

We used to LOVE staying here, this weekend changed that. Guests are unable to control individual room temp and must call the front desk to adjust the “block”. So if you’re hot and another room is cold, be prepared that your room temp will be based on other guests around you. We could hear EVERY single footsteps from the hallways, to steps, to the room above us. We stayed two nights and barely slept bc of the facts every noise and groan can be heard within the room. While I appreciated the lower rates, in the future we’ll happily pay more for a better visit and to get rest. It’s a shame too bc this was our go to motel.

The location is fantastic, check in staff at reception were friendly and helpful. My room seemed really clean but then I saw a large toenail clipping in the middle of the bathroom floor. I've been in housekeeping before so I know how hard it is to make a space spotless. I decided not to mention it but then there was a hair on the plastic of the disposable cup and a ball of string in the shower drain. I told reception and she said she'd tell management. I expected I'd hear something from them but it's been 2 weeks now and I haven't. Unfortunately, I wouldn't stay there again.
