I didn’t know what to expect sight unseen but this was a gem of a place. Nestled in the cute little town of Seward. Sarah was super accommodating even when I booked the room. Also she was delightful and so knowledgeable giving us advice on lots of things Alaska. The room was cozy and clean. The breakfast was homemade right in front of us. The Band B is located within walking distance to the tiny town with shops and restaurants. Great end to our Seward adventure!

Note: The photos in 2011 on Tripadvisor are outdated. The bedrooms and beds look nicer now. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos of the room but the updated photos are available from some other websites. ||Northern Nights is a great place to stay for its convenient location, clean and comfortable room, homey shared space (living room and kitchen), and responsive host. The included breakfast is made-to-order standard American breakfast (e.g. egg, bacon, sausage, potato, waffle, coffee, fruits... etc.). I especially like the home-made lemon cranberry bread. The property is within walkable distance to Resurrection Bay, restaurants, and coffee shops, and is just next to the beautiful Seward community library/museum. Sarah (the host) is friendly and communicated well in emails before our visit. We booked the glacier wildlife cruise tour (another thing I recommend to do in Seward!) through her with discounts. Sarah is very helpful and Northern Nights is a beautiful house.

Would recommend Northern Nights to anyone looking to stay in Seward. Our family was visiting Kenai Fjords National Park and this was our first time staying in a traditional bed & breakfast, and we couldn't have been more pleased. Wonderfully kind hostess Sarah made everyone a full breakfast cooked to order, and had great recommendations for things to see and do around town. The whole property was very clean, beds were comfortable and our floor was heated, warm living room, and location is next door to downtown shopping and dining. Just can't say enough great things about this place. Wish we had stayed longer!!

Loved this quaint spot, the best breakfast we had on trip, the host Sarah was delightful, room was CLEAN and quite. We enjoyed the common areas , relaxed, talked w other gyests, great coffee & tea bar. Close to main street in towns center. So glad we chose this spot. Parking was right outside the front door! Host suggest the cruise which we were there to do !

I had the most wonderful stay at Northern Nights. My host was incredibly warm and welcoming. She provided me with all kinds of advice (I was a first time, solo traveler to Alaska) about what to do, how much time to spend where, and all of it was spot on. Most importantly, the B&B is so clean and comfortable, with great breakfasts made to order and all kinds of delicious homemade breakfast treats baked each morning. The location is prime for poking around historic Seward and getting to parks and hikes close by. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Lovely, very clean and well located b and b. Away from the busy tourist main drag but walkable. The excellent manager Sarah is kind and welcoming. She makes quite a breakfast. Our room was on the first floor and there was some noise from stairs/room over us and through the walls/door, but it did not bother us as quiet hours are 10pm to 7am.

We loved our stay! The rooms were cozy. The breakfast was delicious and the hostess was very nice and helpful. Great location near the water and right downtown. Highly recommend!

Perfect location. Walked everywhere in downtown Seward. Welcoming, knowledgeable, helpful, and interesting host in Sarah. Booked a KFNP tour through her. Great recommendations for hiking and eateries in the area too. B&B breakfasts were the best we experienced in AK. Would highly recommend.
