This 100 year old inn lovingly restored to reflect its era but equipped with the comforts of the 21st century is a treasure! I'm sure I'll have to return at least a few more times to take in all the details of the period furniture and decor. Hosts Kris and David were so welcoming and accommodating. We are still raving about the sumptuous 3 course breakfasts that honestly kept us satisfied all day. Recommendations for local sites to take in were spot on! Kris and David provide a fridge and microwave for guest use, as well as an assortment of teas and coffee. Kris bakes THE BEST PECAN CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES for guests to munch daily. Views from the porch are spectacular. Be sure to take in the view of Mt Shasta at sunset in all its pink glory. We spent evenings in front of the fire in the beautiful living room before retiring to our elegantly outfitted room. The down comforters and luxurious sheets made us want to stay in bed, but the promise of another delicious breakfast lovingly prepared by Kris and served by David had us jumping out of bed.

We’ve been coming here annually for valentines weekend every year for the last 4! It’s our favorite magical getaway, it’s like going back in time! Plus the complimentary breakfast is always above and beyond with several courses of delicious treats!

Mount Shasta Ranch Bed and Breakfast has put up with our obnoxious 4x4 club for 8 consecutive years.

The owners are amazing, the food has always been fantastic, and the rooms are better than any hotel I have ever stayed CA.

Don't let bad reviews from some stuck-up snobs who have only stayed here one time keep you from experiencing this treasure. Is it the Ritz-Carlton? Nope! David, greeted me this year with "Welcome Home". I do feel at home here.
There is a reason why 9 to 11 couples from our club come back year after year. Come see for yourself. Unless you are a snob, then Ritz-Carlton is better suited for you.

For the past 8 years we have rented out the entire carriage house for our two families of 8 people. Spacious, comfortable, updated bathrooms, full kitchen and full access to everything at the main house! Kris and David are the absolute best hosts. The daily breakfast is always delicious, the fire place in the living room is my absolute favorite place to hang out and visit with family.

We spent a lovely weekend here and look forward to coming back! The location is gorgeous, and we enjoyed having breakfast on the front porch every morning with full view of the mountain and ending each day by the fireplace. What will stay with us long after our trip is the kindness of Kris & David, who warmly accommodated some emergencies in our trip planning and were eager to share hiking tips, stories from their lives, some excellent homemade baked goods, and even just a good laugh. It felt good to be welcomed to Mt Shasta by hosts who clearly have a love for people.

We stay here several times a year as we travel north and back, and enjoy every visit. This is a uniquely beautiful home with large rooms and bathrooms. It matches the spaciousness of the landscape and the majesty of Mt Shasta, always a breathtaking presence and reminder of nature’s power to heal. Kris and David have it all wired for guest relaxation and we feel so welcome here. It’s a luxury to start the day with Kris’ delicious 3 course breakfast and the coffee is great. Good restaurants in town and plenty of hikes nearby. Good dog walks on and near the ranch.

We have stayed with Kris and David (and their adorable little senior dog, Cork) four times over the last few years. We make it a point to spend the night at Mt Shasta Ranch when we drive to the Bay Area from Seattle.|| Each and every time we have been warmly welcomed with fresh homemade cookies, coffee and tea, as well as wine in the afternoon. They are kind, hardworking people living their dream of offering a top notch bed and breakfast in their home.|| I especially enjoy sundown on the front veranda with blankets, our beverage of choice and a wonderful view of Mount Shasta and the beautiful countryside. I love seeing a pair of horses in the pasture next door.|| The mansion, built in 1923, is well kept and spotless. There is a large dining room with many windows, where one can read and watch finches and other birds at the bird feeders. The dining room also has an area for fun with a billiard and pingpong table. There’s a cozy living room with a fireplace and a lovely wood fire when it is chilly outside. Each time we have been offered our choice of rooms when available. The bedrooms, each one tastefully decorated with antiques, feature comfortable beds and thoughtfully curated amenities. There are two separate lodges for families behind the house itself. It is a quiet and peaceful respite. I know they also host various groups for retreats. We have especially enjoyed meeting other guests at the Mt Shasta Ranch. Additionally, Kris and David are happy to recommend local restaurants, hikes and other activities. || Another highlight of our stay is Kris’s gourmet breakfasts, delicious and varied, served by David who is charming and accommodating.|| This place is an absolute gem. We highly recommend it.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Shasta Ranch. Kris and David are wonderful hosts. I've stayed at the Ranch many times over the years and it really feels like a home away from home.
Scrumptious breakfasts, cozy rooms and that epic porch! You can't go wrong here!
