Service in the front desk was friendly and helped.

The room was organized but not very clean.

The mattress box has torn sheets, there's coffee stains on the sink back splash and on the chair, there's dirt/stains on the floor, the AC front cover is broken revealing the old and dusty filters which makes you wonder how clean you're breathing is and the room needs to be fumigated for cockroaches. All this just makes someone wonder if the bed sheets are even washed and clean. This should at least be the basic cleaning for any hotel room.

On my way to big bear we called the hotel at 5am, no answer busy line, so I called motel 6 main number and asked them if they know how late check in is. They called the property and again no answer but assured me a 8 pm check in is fine. When we arrived at the property it was dark and about 7 people waiting outside main office. It was 30 degrees and people were locked out of their room. After staying 30 minutes a man came in and informed us there is no power and go somewhere eales. I got no information earlier that they were down and on booking.com you can still continue to make new reservations. I had 2 seniors on oxygen and had to wait outside in the car till we got some information to leave. The lady helped my mom in the main office to go pee then we left. Because it was last minute I have to rent another place and it was expensive. Overall bad experience and poor communication. Never again will I waist my time with this.

When we arrived back to our room the second evening and turned on the lights, a large cockroach ran and hid under the desk/TV unit. This was terrifying for us, so we packed up our luggage, booked a different hotel, and spoke to the front desk staff. They refused to refund our money in full for the second night even though we spent no time in the room (they only gave us 25% back). They did not care that they have a cockroach problem and claimed that their cleaning lady did not see a cockroach during the day (obviously as they hide well in daylight). We had to spend more on a different hotel at the last minute late in the night, stressed out, and tired. Very awful experience. We will never stay in a Motel 6 ever again.

Positive: "" Negative: When I arrived there I was surprised to discover that there was a $100 deposit which I was not prepared for. The receptionist charged me wrongly twice for the deposit and I still have not received my money back 3 days later.

We spent three nights there. It would be relatively okeish, but one aspect changed my mind. Today, we checked out. I was speaking with the front desk and informed her about a quite unfortunate incident.
We left our two posters on the desk in our room and the cleaning service either took them or thrown it away. The funny things is that they left rubbish laying on the fridge :). Anyway the lady from the reception desk was not willing to compensate it anyhow. She said "Sorry to hear that"
Each poster cost us 15$, so actually we lost 30$.
Strongly not recommending this place 🙂

EDIT: The hotel has addressed the issue a few weeks later. Booking.com reached out to me and proposed a refund. Not sure who fixed the issue but I got my money back. I will update the rating of the motel.

Positive: "" Negative: The sink pipe was clogged, the hotel is on the main avenue and you can hear all the trucks, everything shakes as if the building was going to fall down, and we had a bedbug bite.

Had the best experience/stay here. Since the moment I arrived I was greeted by an awesome front desk agent named Trina. Amazing customer service and she answered all my questions. Next thing I loved about my stay was the housekeeping staff, especially Maggie she was very attentive and very friendly. Overall review of my stay amazing staff, Customer service, location and rooms are very clean. Would definitely book here again next time I’m in town.

I mean I’d say come and stay here if you like sleeping next to what looks like urine. Great way to starts off my birthday (not sure if my photos are being blocked from being posted)
