This venue was stellar! It wasn’t too big or too small, and it was very comfortable. It’s an outdoor venue, built during the depression era in Gadsden. It has large stone seating and plenty of space. There’s a vip section up top and the staff were very friendly. It’s a unique place. The amphitheater definitely makes the music sound amazing!

Beautiful amphitheater. The restrooms were clean & well stocked. The only issue is the stairs. They need better lighting.

Good view from every seat in the venue! The Parrothead party was a good show, but every cocktail was a frozen cocktail that never froze- and the sound left much to be desired. Sound levels unbalanced leaving vocals blaring and unclear to understand for most of the artists. I look forward to the venue learning more about balancing sound in the space so we can enjoy more in the future with the artist voices highlighted as they should be.

This is the "BEST" place to see a concert!
The atmosphere is just incredible!

I have been to quite a few places, to see concerts, this place is hands down the very "BEST!"

Did I mention ,concerts here are "FREE (First Friday)!"
This photo is from the very first,
" First Friday ".
It won't let me download a video, from the concert, for some reason.

I attended a festival where The Amp was serving mimosas. My friends and I were very excited to spend our morning together at this event. The encounter I had with an employee of The Amp really put a damper on my day. As we waited in line, one employee was walking through the line checking IDs and handing out wristbands to people of drinking age. The employee checked my ID and put on my wristband. When I stepped up to tell the woman pouring drinks what I wanted, she demanded she check my ID even though I was wearing a wristband. It made me feel like I was in trouble for simply walking up to buy a drink as someone who’s well of age. Extremely rude and uncalled for.

A unique facility that Gadsden is lucky to have. Great sight lines when attending concerts. Originally part of the Depression Era WPA projects and made from Alabama sandstone it is situated near the Coosa River and often a cool breeze comes from the water.
