Amazing trip. Glad we stayed here. Friendliest Staff ever. Hotel was clean. Rooms are great. Valet staff is incredible too. Location is right next to a lot of bars and is walkable. They also give free wine from 5-6 everyday and the rooftop is a vibe

Mixed Experience – Great Location, But Disappointing Interiors

I stayed here for two nights and chose this hotel primarily for its location — and on that front, it delivered. It’s within walking distance to Santa Monica Blvd and made getting to my doctor’s appointment in Beverly Hills super convenient. Valet service was friendly and efficient, which I appreciated.

That said, the overall experience didn’t quite meet my expectations. The hallway and my room had a strong motel-like smell, which was hard to ignore. While the furniture is "retro," it felt old and dated. The popcorn ceilings and worn decor gave the room a tired, motel-like vibe that really contrasted with what I expected from a hotel in this area.

The on-site café is advertised as 'open 24 hours' but every time I went, no one was there. I had to ask the front desk to call someone over both times.

Overall, if you’re looking for a hotel in a prime location and don’t mind outdated interiors, this could work. But if you’re expecting a more upscale or modern experience, you might want to look elsewhere.

The rooms are absolutely gorgeous! And so cool!! Probably the coolest room is ever stayed in...and so cozy.and very . The staff are all amazing..and so kind and helpful!! They were all so wonderful!! The complementary coffee in the morning is pretty good!! And they have wine free from 5-6 and you can take it on the roof with you! The rooftop is just simply amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and we can't wait to come back!

great location, quiet, big room. the staff is awesome. the restaurant is a great place to unwind at night. make sure to chat with Andrew there! he knows the history of the hotel, and a lot of interesting info about it. plus, he is knowledgeable about the arts district origins and lots of other tidbits. super nice guy. we have stayed before and this will be our annual destination. short drive to beverly hills and the arts festival, plus century city mall, and melrose.

Great place. Was in a good area, with lots around. Pool was the highlight and Andrew at the rooftop bar was so great, and took care of us! Yummy drinks, and good food. Nice sun and good shade on the daybeds. Great views and staff was really nice. Will be back!

I stayed here for two nights last week, and while it started off well, the experience quickly turned into a disappointment.

The hotel manager confirmed a tennis court reservation for me(my mother was standing with me witnessing an experience), then closer to the time of reservation denied it ever happened. She was rude, dismissive, and gaslit me for over 30 minutes, refusing to apologize or take responsibility.

I also witnessed a guest yelling at the valet staff because her brand-new $150K car was scratched. The same manager just stood there, saying nothing. No apology, no action.

My room wasn’t cleaned after the first night, even though we were gone for hours from 12 to 5:30pm. When I called the front desk, they shrugged it off. My friend also had to wait over 10 minutes for valet with no one in sight(she was ready to pay $15 an hour for tennis reservation and dinner which creates 3-4 hours, but no one cared).

This hotel charges $300–$400 in addition to $65 for valet a night but delivers poor service, careless staff, and zero accountability. No one made any effort to improve my stay.

Unless you only care about location, skip this place. There are much better options nearby with better service and management. I stayed at Mondrian in January and experience was top level considering the same price range…

Clean, comfortable, top notch service. Victor at the front desk went above and beyond to make me feel like a vip. My check out was early and the coffee was not out yet and he went out of his way to make me a coffee to go. My second stay here and I will be back the next time I have business in LA. Also the GM Tim made me feel welcomed and remembered me from my last visit. 5 STARS all around.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights, and while it started off fine, the experience quickly went downhill.

The manager confirmed my tennis court reservation, then later denied it ever happened—gaslighting me during a 30-minute argument with no apology. I also saw a guest furious after valet scratched her brand-new car, and the manager stood by doing nothing.

My room wasn’t cleaned after the first night, and valet service was slow or unavailable. For $400–$500 a night, the service was unacceptable and unprofessional.

If you value good service, look elsewhere. This place is all about location—nothing more.
