My wife and I along with another couple decided to get a couple of rooms here overnight for a stop to rest on our way to our Florida beach vacation. We booked through Hotwire on one of the deals where you are guaranteed a 3.5 Star room in the area but don't know what you get until after you pay. There's no way this should be anywhere close to this rating, 1 star is too good for it. We did very little resting because there were sketchy characters hanging around outside asking for money, the place reeked of cigarettes and marijuana even though there's supposedly no smoking allowed. Hotwire should be ashamed of themselves for calling this a 3.5 star hotel (it has since been downgraded to 3.0 but still way too high), I noticed on their site it's the same people giving 10/10 stars over and over which makes me have no confidence in their site anymore.

I posted several photos below that will back up my review. The other couple we were with had to switch rooms because there was blood stains and other unknown stains on the mattress pad in the first room they gave them. The mattresses in both rooms sagged in the middle, the TV in one of the rooms didn't work...batteries were dead in both remotes. Shower head in one of the bathrooms was actually sitting on top of the shower arm when we got there, luckily I'm handy so I was able to get it back on and working halfway (still spraying water out the side in the shower head nozzles were clogged as well). The floors looked newer but they were nasty dirty. Shower curtain in our room was covered in mildew and there were hairs on it. The shower rod was covered with dust, as were the blades on the ceiling fan. The tub was multicolored and I couldn't tell if it was nasty or just discolored. The bathroom faucet handles in both bathrooms were broken off and dangerously jagged and sharp. The Chrome on both faucets was also water stained to the point it looked nasty. Toilet in both rooms had rings in them. There was a "love message" that had been written on the full length mirror by prior guests that had not been cleaned off. Cigarette burns in the sheets. Baseboards needed to be painted. Dirty towels, etc. The list goes on and on but you get the picture by now. The area is also sketch and we were afraid to go to the local convenience stores that night. If you're looking for a death wish, there's a good chance your wish can come true here. Do yourself a favor and "Just Say NO!

The hotel was hard to find coming off the interstate. I was traveling with friends and all our children so we got 2 rooms. There was an overwhelming smell of Marijuana when you enter the hallway. My room was musty and moldy. There were also roaches in the bathroom. My friends room had a lot of mold, smelled really bad, and tile was coming up from the floor. They asked to switch rooms, and the 2nd room was worse with bugs and more mold. We couldn't stay in these conditions with children so we decided to leave. Management refused to give a refund saying "there are no refunds."

DONT DO IT!! READ ENTIRELY
Whoever the manager/s are of this slump, he/she desperately needs to be fired immediately.
I stayed at this place out of desperation and it was a nightmare.
The room was extremely dirty and disgusting (SEE PHOTOS)
The walls are stained...the floor is dirty, the bathtub, the toilet, the tables... everything was dirty. I had to go to dollar tree and buy cleaning supplies to make our stay more comfy...as I had my son.
Housekeeping is nonexistent...i was told that management refuses to buy new supplies. There was no shower curtains and I asked for shower curtain and when they did bring one, take a look at it in the photos. Its filthy...Lmfaoooo

They had a microwave in the hallway and I went to use it and aloha...it was dirty with noodles.

They claim it is a drug/smoke free environment and boy did they lie. The scent of Marijuana/cigarettes is super strong in the hallways and even the parking lot.
We checked in on a Saturday night and there were parties in neighboring rooms crowded by young men who blasted their music and was smoking ... and other rooms with kids crying and mother screaming at them.
So you need a card to access the doors but yet I saw men entering through the windows.

It's a DRUG HOLE... Yes, you best believe they sell drugs from those rooms. People knocked on my door TWICE, asking if the 'white girl is in' ... a damn shame. You can see people knocking on the windows buying their products.
The hallways are busy throughout the night!!
The cops need to go in on this place.

Despite the reviews we decided to stay anyway, it wasn't bad. The manager, or who I think is the manager/owner, stepped out of his way to talk with us and insure the room was good. I will give a little advice that hopefully they read into though. I could tell they are trying their best to improve and taking steps to do so, but a help for them would be to definitely invest in new sheets and towels. Also maybe get the extended out shower curtain holders to give a little more room in the shower. I'd also like to throw in the floors were a little sticky like they hadn't been mopped good but it wasn't that big of a deal, I have sticky toddlers at home lol. They're also very good with keeping bad people out and do a very good job at making sure their no smoking rule is enforced. During the morning time the manager was personally kicking out everyone who was smoking in the rooms and being terrible. So far the renovations that they've done have been good and you can tell the owner is really trying to make that hotel into the great hotel it can be under his wing. Overall a good stay, and would stay again. Oh, two more quick things, they let us check in early after a long traveling day and I believe most of the bad reviews are from the crack heads they kicked out.

Walked into the bathroom and the first thing we saw were massive pink stains all over the bathtub and shower curtains. Then pulled back the bed sheets and found a spider/tick-like creature (probably a bed bug) crawling rapidly under the covers; we flushed it down the toilet. The other bed had hair and small black seed-like/crumb-like things that scared us into thinking it might be eggs (we don’t know for sure). After our second time calling about the bad state of the room, they kindly moved us to another room but expressed a bunch of surprise, as though they’d never seen this before. In the second room we rented, there was a cockroach under the table. In the new room we got moved to, the faucet was broken (sharp plastic/metal, almost impossible to use) and when the water finally came out it was scorching hot and deep yellow. We couldn’t sleep the whole night (literally woke up tense every 30 minutes because we were worried about bed bugs). When we asked for a refund for just one room (we rented 2), they were friendly but couldn’t refund us. This was too expensive for such a terrible visit. I would absolutely not recommend, even though the staff was nice.

This motel should be closed. We stopped off here on our travel and the room was cheap, but not cheap enough for what you get. The parking lot was trashy….it was dark when we arrived so not so visible then, the hallway to the room smelled of weed, and the carpet was disgusting. Once you got to the room, the beds were made….but with hair on the sheets and dirty pillow cases. The bathroom was gross, toothpaste on the door, the sink, the floor ( hoping it was toothpaste). Do not stay here!!! No need to complain, staff doesn’t care.

Our room was far from clean, dirt all over the floors and don’t look under the beds or dresser. Lots of noise in the hallway, hallway was dank and dirty. On the plus side the beds and pillows were comfortable, but the bedspreads were stained and I was concerned about the cleanliness of the sheets. Website stated Continental breakfast and when we asked they handed us wrapped sticky buns and banana muffins. No beverages at all. If we had turned on the TV it WAS quite large. Sorry, won’t stay at a Sure Stay again, even to save some $$$. I’d rather feel clean and safe,

The hallways smelled like pot. the hall floor nasty dirty and our floor in the room was broken . the breakfast was a joke. no hot food as advertised, microwave not working, nothing to eat but cereal and granola bars, not even coffee or hot water. Our beds had dirty sheets, the toilet seat was broken the windows were filthy. We'll never stay here. It was so bad our granddaughter never wants to go to a hotel again
