Well established restaurant where locals eat. We have made it a "must stop" for many years when we visit Florala, Alabama and NW Florida. It is only a few miles from the highest point in Florida - Britton Hill at Lakewood.

This restaurant has good food but the service is subpar especially when ordering take out. The staff routinely forget items that I’ve paid for and then put up a big argument when trying to get the missing item. I would not recommend for take out unless you’re willing to be a Karen.

Servers were American which I would have expected more from them due to no language barrier however, we had to ask for napkins, ask for straws, ask twice for more chips and salsa and still only got 1 small bowl to split between four people. That's not a big deal cuz the salsa is only tomatoes sauce with a few onions. 🙁
It's been a couple years since we drove thru Florala and usually it was pretty good, not so much and mainly due to server ladies

Our waitress took our order but did not bring our drinks or chips and salsa. The other waitress and waiter took care of us. Our waitress finally brought our food to us and served my boyfriend first and brought me the wrong dish. It was someone else's order. The only time she came back to the table was for the bill.

If it's authentic Mexican food you want, you can't go wrong here
I really enjoyed listening to the kitchen staff singing Mexican music in the kitchen.
And the margaritas are so strong I'm pretty sure you could run a lawn mower with them ?

Good food and good prices. Not the best but worth the money. Fresh chips every time. That's worth a ⭐alone lol. Tea is good. Service is always good and margaritas hit the spot.
