This place is beautiful and perfect fot our event, Friendsgiving, approximately 275 yo 300 people. We held this event here last year. Plenty of room , tables, 2 kitchens, auto ice makers, oven to heat things. Outdoor space out back where we had a bounce house. So, pretty and as far as I know will be back next year.

Good communication with staff, perfect size for the amount of guests we had but you can rent a larger portion if you need it. The tables were set up just as I requested. The price is very reasonable especially in this area.

Beautiful area atop Monte Sano mountain. Inside the state park. Lots of hiking in the area. Lodge is big enough for events with over 100 guests. Perfect for catering.

I LOVE this state park. I rented out their entire lodge for a day and got married there. A great Park nearby it for kids. Love the cabins and have stayed there multiple times. The cabins have a full kitchen and screened in porch, with fire pit outside you can grill on. Will be returning to cabins annually

This seems to be a nice state park. We certainly enjoyed our stay. The park was clean. The bath houses were clean and well maintained. There was hiking and a nice Japanese garden area. It has a beautiful setting.
Now for the negative; they only have 15 full hookup sites. The sites themselves are not well maintained by the staff or camp host. There was an abundance of poison ivy, oak and Virginia creeper right up on the camp sites and the edges of trails. I understand, you are in the woods, but when people are allergic to it, it can feel confining. The sites were difficult to back in to because the were not on a slant and the edges of the road were deteriorating or just a 4"-5" drop off, which can effect your maneuverability.
I am certainly not bashing Monte Sano, we had a good time and will go back in the future. It has many positives, but it also has its negatives too.

First experience with the Lodge. Very nice and clean space. Suitabld for a wedding or graduation celebration, which is what we had tonight. I love the rustic structure, beams and fireplaces. Just lovely.
