I took my wife and four kids to this restaurant, kind of excited because it had some good reviews online. But as soon as we got in, we saw a big group leaving and only a few other tables occupied, which should have been our first clue. Right off the bat, things didn't look good. The place was kind of messy. Another bad sign was that the people at the other tables were still waiting for their food. Also, there were only two people taking care of the front, and the waitress who took our order struggled with English. We had to point at the menu items so she could write them down. She didn't get it when I asked for my steak and eggs medium rare, and she was confused when I wanted a to-go cup with a lid and straw for my toddler.

Things got even more disappointing when my wife asked for lemon for her tea. They gave her a lemon that was brown and obviously expired. I also noticed the lock in the men's bathroom was broken, which was another letdown. Considering the good reviews we had seen, we were really surprised by how everything was turning out. We hoped the food would make up for the poor service, but no luck there. Our order was messed up, just like we thought it would be. The food was bad. My wife's pancakes were too salty, my steak was overcooked, the potatoes and my kids' sausages were burnt. We ordered two sides of sausages but only got one, and it was so burnt we didn't even want the second one. My daughter hated her crepe. They forgot my bacon, and when it finally came, it was cold and crunchy, like it was precooked and just handed to us.

When it was time to pay, I had to go up to the register. The waitress just told me the total was $90, and I had to ask for the receipt to make sure we weren't charged for the extra sausage we didn't get. I left a $10 tip on a $90 bill, which felt generous given how bad everything was. We're definitely not coming back.

The food was delicious, the pastry delectable, and the service was great, but the restaurant appears to be in some sort of transition. I say this because the images on their Facebook and Trip Advisor are different from what I experienced. There was a little confusion when we first walked in as to whether we should be seated or make an order at the cash register, but that was quickly resolved. Again, the service was great. I would definitely recommend this eatery for those who have a tooth for French inspired foods.

I’m not sure if things have gone downhill recently, but I was really surprised by both experiences I’ve had. Both visits were on the weekend and in the morning (what I assume is typically prime hours for bakeries such as this). First visit they apparently had an event the night before and the entire bakery was covered in white drapes and he only had two turnovers for sale. I decided to give the place another try a few days ago and was greeted by the same man working. He was rude and seemed annoyed that we came in. He had hardly any pastries available for sale, despite having almost no other customers. Again he seemed very annoyed when we asked for a breakfast menu. He was running around the bakery all while we were attempting to order. It was very bizarre. I gave it two tries because it’s very local to me, but I definitely won’t be back. For what it’s worth the turnovers weren’t bad, but they weren’t spectacular either

Stopped by this place to grab some pastries and a coffee and it turned out to be really good! The white mocha was just right. The pastries were fluffy and delicious. The inside is a little plain but they have a really cute outside seating area. I will definitely come back here to try their food.

Mirabelle cafe is a gem. Very rare to find a place in USA with such a great choice of delicious foods.
To appreciate it you need to come here regularly and you'll realize how good it is. It's been around for 20 years for a reason. The owner is kind hearted man, the cook is excellent, and staff is very polite. Just come without having high expectations of service and other "modern generation" nonsense.
They are doing their best for visitors to enjoy their meals, and working hard to make the business successful.
I wish more people find out about their breakfasts and bring this place more revenue for it to keep serving the community with style.
Prices are beyond reasonable. I'd say even cheap for what you get.
Convenient cozy location, plenty of room and light.
Always great coffee and pastries.
Vegetarian options.
For big groups I'd recommend to call before so they are prepared for you to come in since they are often short-staffed.

Got the cinnamon French toast and my fiance ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich. Food was cooked really well, even had to grab one of there pantries on the way out! Would highly recommend if your in the area to stop by,the inside is really fancy and an awsome sitting arrangement outside. Parking is easy to get in and out of also. They stop serving breakfast at 2pm.

Ordered the Monte Cristo via Grubhub. Not only were the sandwich and fries still warm, they were both delicious. The sandwich meats were thick cut, on French toast. The fries are skin on cut and yummy. Will definitely order again.

'21/9 1st time review, but years-long customer:
-- Always consistent, quality food/presentation.
-- Decent menu choices for this upscale cafe with indoor/outdoor, breakfast-lunch-dinner dining and helpful/attentive wait staff.
-- At time of this review, they're in the process of remodeling: while several pastry display cases have been removed being replaced by more indoor seating, we have been assured we can still custom order a lot of our favorite delectables. The two remaining cases displayed 2 types of filled puff pastries, one type cookie, 2 other types, about 5 types of layered cake slicea, and a sampling of whole, custom cakes.
-- Stop by to check out the outdoor seating: unique, glide, covered, kid-friendly booths (various sizes seating 2-6 per stand-alone unit).
++ Note 1: requires step up into seating, and some oomph to get it to glide. Child friendly, pleasing.
++ Note 2: While seating is wrought-iron fenced in, it is backed up to busy Winding Way with a do-it-yourself car wash beside. On weekends, this makes for a noisy background.
-- Parking: very tight, small lot adjacent to stand alone building. Mobility impaired could find it a challenge to negotiate.
