The evening manager was always very helpful. The morning manager did a great job with the breakfasts. The room may be non-smoking now, but insufficient work was done to cleanse the smell that it had accumulated in the days that it was a smoking room. Also, a couple of objects were found on the floor that probably shouldn't have been missed by cleaning staff pre-stay. However, it was a great value for what we paid. My son and i ate plenty of waffles and hard boiled eggs to get us through an entire day of fishing. The 10% discounts at nearby restaurants were also appreciated.

We're currently passing through Springfield and just enjoyed a night here. Check-in was seamless, and Robin made us feel right at home. Our room was spotless, and the beds were really comfortable. The price was a bit on the higher side, especially since we stayed at a downtown Chicago hotel last night for the same rate. The location is super convenient to the highway, and they even offer discounts at several nearby restaurants!

As a young female staying by myself I felt a little nervous. The staff was overly willing to help me feel comfortable. After an incident, they moved me to the 3rd floor from the 1st so I’d feel more comfortable. Robin at the front desk is amazing. I would highly recommend this hotel. Clean rooms and a nice little gym with free breakfast.

Beds were great, seemed clean at first but as I inspected more, I found a lot of issues. Poop on the side of the toilet, empty bottles of body soap in the shower. Inside of drawers were dirty. My daughter found someone's dirty sock next to one of the beds. The electrical socket spit sparks out at my mom and destroyed her charger. Overall, not a very good experience. Would not recommend.

This was a nice hotel. The room, even though it was a queen, seemed a bit small. My big boy was able to get comfortable. I had a problem with the tv, and the nice gentleman who checked me in came right up, figured out the problem, and fixed it. I didn't try the breakfast, so I can't say how that was. Overall, it was a nice hotel with a good price that accepted pets.

Positive: Clean, modern, great staff, comfortable bed, spacious room. The pillows and bed sheets didn?t cause me any allergies. Wish all the 2-star hotels were up to this standard Negative: Slightly more expensive than I?d have expected in the off season

Microtel Inn and Suites was my first time staying. I got the King Suite is was nice clean and roomy. Bed was comfortable, shower was great also. Breakfast was just simple, you can make waffles, toast or a bagel. It's cereal, yogurt, juice and coffee also. It's also surrounded by restaurants IHOP, Applebee's, Smokeybones, etc. Thanks Robin (front desk agent) for the tip on the Mexican restaurant it was good. You call and place a order they bring it right to your room. I will return in the future. Keep up the good hospitality!

The staff were nice. The lobby looked nice. Breakfast was being put away before 9:30 so was only able to get a muffin. Our first room was gross & had horrible stained sheets & didn’t look washed. Our second room smelled horrible. I felt gross the entire stay. The mirrors behind the bed are odd to me. This place desperately needs some TLC & a good deep clean.
