Besides being nothing like advertised this place has local shady guys patrolling and checking on guests every now and than. Even my Instacart delivery person was followed to the entrance by one of them. It's pretty unsettling atmosphere to stay in.

I had the worst experience in McCormick place guest house.
The place is extremely old and dirty, it needs an urgently maintained, IT IS NOT AT ALL AS THEY POSTED.
The room and the bathroom were pretty uncomfortable and disgusting, also there’s a loud machine noise all night and it’s impossible to sleep.
I called booking.com to help me out with this situation, due to it felt like a SCAM, I don’t really understand how this place passed all the inspections/ filters (my room doesn’t even have a smoke detector), they didn’t do ANYTHING and I only got $60 as refund and it’s not even a quarter of what I paid.
Don’t waste your money and energy, DO NOT STAY AT THIS AWFUL PLACE.

Exercise extreme caution when considering this establishment. I was misled by the lady who answered my call. Prior to making a reservation, I inquired about occupancy and was assured I would be the sole guest. However, upon arrival, I discovered multiple individuals roaming around at 11 pm, making me feel uneasy. I promptly left the premises. It appears the lady lied to secure my booking, knowing no refunds are given for cancellations. Be wary of this place. Don't be deceived by the name 'McCormick Place'; it's actually located near a Section 8 building, far from the actual McCormick

This place is a SCAM! DO NOT BOOK! The website description does not match the actual property. Once realizing that this is just an intricate Airbnb type situation and not an actual hotel, there was no way to cancel the reservation. There is a strict no cancellation policy that does not have a grace period. I would avoid booking through the hotelone website as it is just a subsidiary of Expedia. DO NOT BOOK! THERE IS NO WAY TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK!

The price was good, however, I never met the host. There were no amenities/accommodations in the room as far as a TV, microwave, refrigerator, soap/shampoo/lotion, etc... The interior was beautiful, clean and well decorated. The exterior was somewhat shocking. I thought I was checking into a hotel when I booked my non refundable payment, however, when I arrived at the property I noticed that it was a house (guesthouse), and that caught me off guard.

Stayed here during the trade show. Only available with a decent price, but worth it.
They put me in a huge room. The location is good close to the subway and not that far from the downtown.
The only downside is that the bed is too soft.
