This was my very first experience at a Bed and Breakfast, but it will not be my last. I felt like I was staying with old friends, Ms. Wanda and Joy were so nice and gracious. I am glad that my original lodging plans fell through and I was able to experience staying in this beautiful home. It was so relaxing that I enjoyed just staying in the room more than the actual event I was going too. I would recommend that you do yourself a favor and just take a weekend getaway just to be able to stay at the Margland. Ms. Wanda and Joy thank you so much for your warm hospitality and making my stay so nice. -T. Amie

Ms. Bateman, the hostess, took our very last-minute reservation for my grandfather's memorial reception, and put together a lovely event for close friends and family. The reservation included light refreshments, a beautiful centerpiece and table setting, and space to chat and mingle on the first floor. A handful of us are crazy about historic homes, and were over the moon perusing all the antique and vintage items. Without a doubt, Ms. Bateman has done a wonderful job caring for property over the years. Highly recommended venue! I'd book the Margland again in a heart beat!

I came in from work one day (in Pine Bluff for a brief contract) exhausted and not feeling like doing anything about dinner. As I was sitting in the back, thinking about what to do, out came the owner, Wanda Bateman, offering me a full dinner which included a goblet of iced tea and banana pudding. She captured my heart at that moment. Pine Bluff natives tell me that the Margland, and Ms. Wanda, have been part of the Pine Bluff landscape for years, and they love her.||||The reason I couldn't give the Margland 5 stars was because I was first placed in a sub-standard location. I've chosen not to wonder why. I've also chosen not to be bothered by the memorabilia celebrating the pre-Civil War South. Once I expressed my displeasure about the room, Ms. Wanda immediately did everything she could to make me comfortable. The new room was lovely, with a jacuzzi and antique furniture, and I couldn't hear anything in the house until I exited the room. A much more personal experience than staying in a chain hotel, and a real taste of Southern hospitality. I would especially recommend it for a romantic stay or someone visiting family/friends in the area.

The house was built in 1903, it is full of beautiful antiques and odds and ends. The two beautiful ladies that run the inn and B&B are very warm and welcoming. They are more than happy to make you feel at home and comfortable. ||We came for a family wedding, and was saddened to see a town that is dying and in great disrepair. The owner Miss Wanda is quite a ball of fire and full of passion to see her little town restored, now if she could only get the city counsel and the local residents on board. This little town has great potential, breathtaking beauty in all of the trees and nature. Hence the name Pine Bluff.

DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH... SAFE, CLEAN, AND, BEAUTIFUL WITH Greate prices, wonderful owners and staff. This is the only place we recommend staying in Pine Bluff. My fiance works here for shut downs at the paper mill and it has been a delighful find for him and for myself and the children when we visit. Mrs. Wanda and Ms. Joy are sweet as can be and you will be delighted with the southern charm and hospitality when you stay at Margland. We stayed in 2 different houses and both are beautifully decorated and stocked what you need for a pleasant stay. We love it!!!

The people treat you like family or old acquaintances from the start. They show concern and love in every detail of their service. Don't miss this one! Terrific!!! The detail of each room is unique and gazing at all the antiques alone are worth the visit.

Our recent stay was awful ! Old, old, old and dirty. The bed was clean, and the breakfast was hot. That's the only thing positive. It smelled awful, and looks like it hadn't been cleaned in twenty years. Cobwebs, and roaches also included.
