Maple tree Inn was amazing. Located in Homewood, IL. Celebrating my sister’s birthday we chose the perfect spot! The establishment was such a cute and cozy spot. Very intimate atmosphere. A vibe for any occasion. Maple Tree Inn menu are Cajun/Creolé cuisines. So much flavors and a southern culture. You will not regret!
We ordered the Double Roasted Beet Salad and the cornbread skillet for starters which both dishes were fresh and full of flavors. And for our entrees we ordered the “BLACKENED REDFISH ÉTOUFFÉE: Red snapper served blackened, set over white rice and topped with our famous Crawfish Étouffée; served with braised collard greens. Collard greens definitely had a spicy flavor but still blended so well entirely. Also ordered the BURNT ENDS which consisted of a half-pound of 14 hr. slow-smoked beef brisket, cubed, topped with ancho molasses BBQ sauce, then braised and caramelized; served with smothered okra and horseradish & gouda cheese grits. This was my favorite dish with all the umami flavors you couldn’t resist the dish! And for drinks we had the hurricane & Creole Voodoo Zombie. Both drinks were sooooo good! Made just right!
Our server named was Aziel. He was phenomenal! He had a great personality, mannerisms, very attentive and if multitasking was a person! He was our bartender & server and did the job well and with such grace! He made great suggestions and made my first time and sister’s birthday a wonderful experience! Take for the pic! Beignets for cake any day! This spot is a must! Check em out!

Had a great experience at this place! The service was wonderful, and I was pleasantly surprised that the serving staff spoke Spanish too. Really good variety of cocktails and drinks. The menu is small but the dishes are really hearty with good portions. While a bit more on the expensive side, the quality of the food is really good. The cornbread was amazing, and one 8-inch skillet was enough for our group of seven. The only dish that was missing something is the trout, which lacked a bold flavor. Otherwise everything was very yummy and I would recommend visiting!

Hidden Gem. Great atmosphere. Great food. Great drinks. Great service. All around great experience. Our bartender Joe was awesome. Definitely a new date night spot 10/10 recommend.

I just need to say that I’m pissed I hadn’t discovered this place sooner. Wow. I’m vegan and they have an entire separate vegan menu ✅
I had the vegan cornbread muffins and the…. Vegan creole jambalaya……. My God today. I was and still am blown away. It was so delicious. I’m mourning the leftovers I just finished but I was just reminded of how close this place is to me and I’ll be there at least twice a week. Thank you.

I had the jambalaya and it was perfection 👌🏾. The chicken was tender and juicy. The shrimp and crawfish were not overcooked. The rice was delightfully spicy but not salty. I also tried the burnt ends and grits which melted in my mouth. I was not a fan of the tangy pickled cabbage that it came with but I would get it again without it. I also tried the mac n cheese, greens, fried tomatoes, and beignets. The drinks are pretty good as well. I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu 😋. The atmosphere was gorgeous upscale yet comfy. We sat next to the fire and Christmas decorations. The servers were all attentive and they described the dishes masterfully. We couldn't decide so we ordered a bunch to share! The portions are a nice size.

Yesterday I went on a date at Maple Tree inn. My overall experience was good. My drink of choice was the “Hurricane” it was pretty good, a little different than the one i had in New Orleans. For starters the cast iron cornbread, it was disappointing. The cinnamon topping was good though. The Hickory Buttered BBQ shrimp & Grits was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 literally and figuratively. My date ordered the Brussel Sprouts, and her entree was Fried Catfish. The waiter name was Gage, he was attentive and took good care of us.

We had a wonderful time celebrating my son’s birthday! The menu appealed to everyone in the family and we were touched when the team acknowledged my note in the reservation that we were there for a birthday celebration. The server extended warm wishes and he had a delicious surprise at the end with complimentary beignets. Well done!

A slice of NOLA in the south suburbs of Chicago. This is a must-visit restaurant. Excellent food and creative yummy cocktails. Best atmosphere and the staff cannot be any better!
