Lucid Studio Short Hills - Short Hills, New Jersey

I have been working with Alexxa on the purchase of a new Lucid vehicle. Both she and the Design Studio at Short Hills have been fabulous in every way. Responsive to emails, phone calls and texts and thorough in the research and answers to questions they provide. I did four (long) test drives with Alexxa over a two week period, peppered her with loads of questions AND took up a fair amount of her time AFTER I had already ordered a car (that I subsequently cancelled and replaced with an order for a different model).

Lucid is a young company building truly exceptional vehicles AND providing a great customer experience. What an incredibly different and more positive experience than I have had with other car makers over the past two years — Tesla, Volvo, Polestar, Ford and Hyundai — trying to buy a new car.

With the Air Pure a relatively affordable entry to the brand and the Gravity SUV on the way early in 2025, this feels an awful lot like Tesla circa 2015…only both the cars and customer experience are MUCH better.

Lucid studio at short-hill is nice and the folks who work here are also very nice. 2 stars for that, 3 stars taken away due to sales dept. - and i was interested in leasing Lucid as i liked it more over model S - but the sales dept. of this area is lazy at its best. No one reached out to me on my initial test drive. I called the sales rep. and there were no followups - i do however got generals emails from lucid as my email was taken during the test ride. I tried reaching out twice today no response no call backs. Finally i got a hold of who seem to be nice but was not able to help me understand current offers. Such a beautiful car, this car should beating Model S by miles, but now I understand why it doesnt sell 🙂

1st time being there after seeing an ad on fb that they were offering test drives. Signed up in December for a test drive in late Jan. Seamless process.

When I went I was greeted and checked in and met with one of the studio advisors Jackson. Awesome dude and answered all questions well.

I am a current ev owner so it wasn't completely a new intro to EVs for me but still a first time for lucid.

Test drive cars were limited due to another event in another location so only 1 was available and had to wait about 10 mins for it to come available but not a problem.. I checked out the studio and the virtual simulator and the 2 air models in the meantime.

Test drive was great! Took about 20 mins and ample time and distance was given to actually test drive.. Jackson came with and was again awesome during it

Interior quality is superb and definitely warranted when considering... The model was grand touring with 516mi of range and they do about 10 to 15 test drives a day.. Even with that.. I was the last one scheduled I believe and the car was still left with 445miles when I started.

Power delivery and regen was smooth.. Coil suspension felt like air suspension and insulation was amazing... I couldn't hear wind or road noise at 65mph speeds. Interior space for a person who's 6'2 was plenty in legroom and headroom.

I'd definitely consider this company should it survive its current downturn in the share stocks..

This is not just another all 'ev' showroom, it's a futuristic showroom.
These cars lots of bootspace front and back.
Staff here are warm and welcoming, cared to explain the specifics of it. They have long range cars.
