You don't want to stay here. I wouldn't want my pets to stay here. I booked this place online because it was affordable. I think it said $43 with taxes less than $50 for sure. I have been living in hotels on and off for 10+ years or so. Been through a lot of them. The loyalty inn here in Maryville Illinois is by FAR the worst experience I've had with hotel stays. I've never seen anything like this! I spent my first night here 12 hours just cleaning my room! Didn't get to relax at all! I was afraid I would catch something just by sitting down. It smelled like bug spray when I opened the door. The floors had NOT been vacuumed. There is a giant stain either brown or red that actually comes out of the carpet when cleaned up! No one ever even tried to clean the stain. I did! I definitely cleaned the room from top to bottom! If anyone ever stayed here with their kids, they should be put behind bars! Because it's definitely not clean, nor kid friendly. If a child would have came and choose a room that I'm in and did anything picked anything up walked around on anything I would not walk around barefoot in here or on socks that kid would be probably since the hospital there's too much stuff on the floor there's too many things to get hurt on things are broken down I got a lamp being held up with the tube sock right now I got cords cut on my lights the beds aren't the same size this cover your own fit the beds they don't match there's holes all over the walls there's a hole in the back bottom of the toilet big enough for an animal to come through there was mushrooms growing in my wall whenever I got here mushrooms growing out of the wall out from underneath the trim. The bathroom vent was so clogged up with dust I'm surprised it even came on still I did clean that out. I'm having issues with my heater sometimes it's warm sometimes it's not you got to tweak it to make it work. The first night I got here I checked in at 10:00 p.m. and check out 10:00 a.m. that's 12 hours he charged me $76 for 12 hours actually I paid online pay $56 online and that was all I thought I had to pay but when I got here my ride dropped me off he's out to my ride was staying and went outside and conned my ride out of $20 more without me knowing. Which is b******* because that was just my ride and they didn't even stay. And then the next day he did the same thing to me. I paid $76 for 12 hours at the loyalty inn. Then the next day I paid $73 then $60 the next two days after that. And when you tried to get the 20 out of me I actually argued with him about it and he's ready to call the cops on me even though I wasn't breaking the law I was just telling him that I had already paid for it online why am I paying extra $20? Even though I wasn't refusing to leave I was just telling him that the extra $20 was unnecessary because I'd already paid for the room he said if I don't pay him that I have to get out and I said fine then I'll just go he goes you won't be doing this on my property I said well I got to get my stuff and he's trying to rush me he said if I didn't give him $20 he's calling the cops. So he's purposely threatening people to get more money from them.

Any positive review is fake!!!!
This building should be condemned. Booked a king room check in they don't have any available. The locks on all the rooms don't work would have to have the front desk open the door with a physical master key for you like a prison guard if they aren't they aren't around you can't get in your room. The room its self, broken lights busted walls literally looked like a rage room after someone got done breaking everything. DO NOT STAY HERE

Owner told me my dogs were okay, then immediately after I paid he told me they had to go with me when I ran to the store (dogs and I were in car for 13 hours)- So that defeated the purpose of getting a room
Then he proceeds to tell me the room I’m in has no key because it’s broken and he had to unlock the door and lock me in the room and I wouldn’t be able to leave until the am.
Needless to say, I left and will be requesting a refund from my credit union because that’s not what it should be like paying for a motel room. The owner was also very intrusive asking me where I was going etc.

Full transparency, I'm a tad bit partial to the housekeeping staff. So, aside from making it known that Melissa does a wonderful job keeping a superior standard of neatness and cleanliness throughout the various kinds of rooms here, I'd also like to voice my appreciation for Kale, the maintenence man. Though he'd already put in a full days work, plus took the time to attend to a minor issue I'd had with a sink well after sunset, when another guest had an issue with his toilet inexplicably occur, not only did he attend to it immediately but was jovial, friendly and courteous beyond fathom. Both of these individuals display the kind of work ethic that encourages repeat patronage and a general sense of faith and confidence in the service industry.

I am not sure how the rooms looked prior to February 1st 2024, but I can assure anyone thinking about staying that things have changed. The rooms are properly cleaned and all rooms have towels, soap, etc provided in them also with freshly clean made beds. The hotel can definitely use some work.. but the guy who runs the hotel his name is Mike and he is actually doing a lot of things differently. Also, animals are allowed as long as you let them know upon checking in. They don't have an ice machine so if you need ice you can go to the front desk and ask for some. They also have cans of soda available for purchase. There is one coin operated washer and one coin operated dryer. Cost $2.50 to wash and $2.50 to dry. Don't let these bad reviews keep you from checking it out for yourself. It's a cheap affordable place to stay and it's right off the highway.

OMG DON'T STAY HERE!!! I was promised a room with a king size bed, and I got a twin size bed. The sink did not work. The AC barely worked. The door SOMETIMES locked, not always, and I needed a person from the front office to open my door. They didn't even give me a key! Oh yeah, and they never refunded my deposit. Why did I stay? Well, I was desperate! I learned from my mistake. There does not seem to be a corporate office to complain to in order to get my refund, but I am currently contacting the local authorities to get assistance. Location is good and that's the only positive thing I can say about this place.

We booked through Expedia and I left a negative review there as well. They should really not be associated with this place. It is the second worst place I ever booked just with on-line searches. The place smelled of mold, the plastic side of the curtains were pealing, behind the bathroom door there was debris and dead bugs on the floor. Luckily I did not recognize any of the bugs! We did not stay. Then later we found out the people at Loyalty double charged us and we just got our money back today through Expedia. We called Loyalty, they said they would get back to us, and they never did. Stay away from this place.
