It truly was a pleasure working with the staff at the Log Cabin. All my questions about vendors and due dates were answered very promptly- even in a Sunday. Very responsive and guided me / us through the unknown territory of making important wedding decisions.
Everything went so very smoothly on the wedding day. It was nonstop!! But fabulous!! Our guests are *still* talking about how much fun they had as well as the intimate venue, delicious foods, and drinks! ‘Thank you’ really isn’t large enough of a phrase to Duckie and Jimmy. You guys made our day truly unforgettable and perfect.

Location Review:

Got married at the Log Cabin on 9/1/24 through Wedgewood Weddings. The location is beautiful and a prime spot for smaller weddings (sub-100). You cannot beat the view of both the Golden Gate bridge and the city skyline. Due to its proximity to the highway, you might get some noise, but overall, it’s isolated from foot traffic within the Presidio, making it fairly private.

Wedgewood Review:

The Log Cabin is managed by Wedgewood and is one of several locations in the Presidio offered for weddings and other events with the former being the smallest location. That said, Wedgewood offers various ala carte, bundled or comprehensive wedding services depending on the needs of the couples.

Communication:
Wedgewood does a great job communicating with the wedding couple. I was from out-of-town and my then not-wife and I had no issues reaching out or being reached out to from their team. They are very responsive and overall, folks are usually in pretty good hands. Ducky, Jimmy and Libby were fantastic to work with.

Services & Vendors:
As mentioned above, Wedgewood offers a bunch of wedding services through their vendors, and they have done a pretty good job with their selection and recommendation. You can choose the various packages to your needs, mix and match, or bring in your own vendors. We used their recommended officiant, photographers, florist, bakery and DJ and were overall pleased with their quality.

Day of:
Wedgewood does strive to make the day as relaxing and easy for the marrying couple as possible. I can say that it was a low stress environment with just focusing on photographs and some of the lighter scheduling. The reception catering was pretty good and everyone enjoyed it. Overall, Wedgewood and their vendors have their day-of process down and it was stress free for everyone at the wedding.

Cost:
Right off the bat, there is a minimum for going through Wedgewood. Depending on how many services you select, you might have difficulty meeting, or you can clear it easily. The minimum will easily cover the basics but do expect to shell out more for additional items like additional flowers and whatnot. Just a note, their recommended photographers are billed separately and do not count towards the minimum.
Overall, it does get pricey, but this is an expected trade-off. If you don’t want to spend time and pain planning or you just can’t fly out to the bay area every weekend, it’s worth it.

Cons:
Cost – Weddings are expensive, and Wedgewood services are no different. Your mileage may vary, but at least for us, it was worth the cost.
Highly structured – If you are someone that wants to plan out everything and have unique experiences, Wedgewood probably isn’t your cup of tea. A structured approach isn’t for everyone. We actually appreciate the structure and the day of service was fantastic, and everyone had a great time.

Conclusion:
We went with Wedgewood because we were from outside the bay area and did not want to heavily micromanage vendors. Wedgewood has good process and planning in place with their vendors for organizing weddings, so this is a huge benefit for out-of-towners. Once again, I would recommend Wedgewood especially if you are from outside the bay area or do not want to get stressed out micromanaging every bit of a wedding.

We are so, so happy with our decision to hold our wedding reception at the Log Cabin at the Presidio. I would recommend the Log Cabin and their Wedgewood Weddings team to anyone looking for an all-in-one package, easy breezy planning, awesome event planners/coordinators, and a flawlessly executed day.

The Log Cabin itself is beautiful, the food was amazing, the drinks were flowing, the flowers were beautiful, and the location in the Presidio is perfect. They have a fabulous team to help you plan and execute the wedding of your dreams! The team (Duckie, Jimmy, and Libby - huge shoutout!) all were awesome to work with through the planning process. Super communicative, responsive, professional, knowledgeable, and supportive through the whole thing. They helped us plan the most perfect day and made it so easy on us. Jimmy was our day-of coordinator and deserves extra praise for pivoting gracefully and adjusting the evening’s timeline flawlessly when our shuttles unfortunately were super late to arrive with our guests. The rest of the day-of team were all amazing, too. DJ Abel blew our socks off - we didn’t want typical wedding music, and he totally nailed the playlist and the vibe we were hoping for. I even had a touching moment with the security guard who pulled me aside and said he got emotional during the father/daughter dance, which was such a lovely thing for him to share.

Wedgewood as an organization seems to have a very organized, structured approach to wedding planning, which I so appreciated. They were great partners and helped us have the most perfect day on one of the biggest days of our lives!

We just had our wedding at The Log Cabin! The planning experience with the Wedgewood crew was so painless and easy, I'd highly recommend it for anyone that wants a stress-free wedding planning experience. The entire team is incredibly responsive and knowledgeable, and all of our planning meeting were a breeze. We worked primarily with Jimmy, who ended up being our coordinator the day of, and everything was executed so well -- and he handled a snafu with one of our outside vendors (who was 40 minutes late!) so gracefully, helping us shuffle the timeline at the last minute and making it possible for us to enjoy our time with our guests without having to worry about it at all.

The Log Cabin as a venue is beautifully warm and intimate, which was exactly what we were looking for... and the peekaboo view of the Golden Gate bridge was absolutely breathtaking in our photos. We had about 90 guests and it was the perfect size for us. We did the Elite package, which comes with basically everything you need for a flawless wedding day (centerpieces, catering, open bar, DJ, photobooth, linen -- literally almost everything!) but they also have other package options if you wanted to bring in your own vendors. The Wedgewood provided vendors were all great - Mazettis provided the cake, Angella Florals did an amazing job on the centerpieces (and we added bouquets / arch florals directly with her), DJ Mike from iMobileDJs also crushed it and was a great emcee for our day. We also got multiple comments from our guests that they loved the food, which is the thing we were the most unsure about heading into the day, and the prime rib carving station that came with the Elite package was an absolute hit.

The Wedgewood team knows what they're doing - it was such an organized and stress free process. My partner and I continue reflecting on how perfectly the day went, and that wouldn't have been possible without the Wedgewood team!

My husband and I got married at the Log Cabin a few weeks ago and it was more than we could have imagined! The location is beautiful, and the venue is very intimate.
James and Duckie were amazing. James went above and beyond to make sure everything was in place and he created such a beautiful atmosphere! He decorated the venue and set up the dessert table that looked like it came straight out of a magazine...James made the entire venue beautiful!
What we loved most was how little we stressed about planning the wedding. My husband is in medical school and I am a teacher so our schedules are insanely busy and we have limited time to plan a whole wedding. The Log Cabin provides you with a binder of everything you would possibly think of. It had deadlines of when things were due so we didn't have to even think about it...we just had to check the binder every few months and make sure we were on track. (People thought we were crazy when we said we weren't stressed during the planning process). They really make it that easy! James and Duckie are always available to talk, and if they cannot at that exact moment they ALWAYS set up a time where you can speak with them, and they are also really prompt with emails!
We appreciate everything James and Duckie did for us!

My husband and I had our wedding here in October at the Log Cabin in the Presidio. We had attended a wedding there almost a decade ago and remembered the Golden Gate Bridge back drop. We knew we had to get married there. We had our ceremony + cocktail hour outside and the reception inside. Everything was perfect, beautifully decorated and working with wedgewood made it less stressful. Our wedding coordinator, Duckie was so helpful and attentive. I the bride, had a small hiccup prior to the ceremony and she came to rescue!!!!! I would a thousand times recommend wedgewood and the log cabin if you’re looking for an intimate-rustic venue, with a gorgeous view of the Golden Gate Bridge AND San Francisco’s skyline . Our guests came from all over and they were so pleased with venue and amazing views.

What an incredible hidden secret in the Presidio! This classic log cabin could be an amazing location for executive retreats and strategy sessions or even a nice happy hour or bbq outing for the whole team. With a larger outdoor area, deck, and appropriate outdoor lighting, this could be a hugely valuable indoor /outdoor venue. In it's current state, it needs an update befitting the integrity of a cabin but to offer meeting planners more than one choice for possible event angles and set-ups.
