We chose Lockhaven as our wedding venue and were extremely happy with our choice. As you can see in one of the photos, our wedding was during the (first) flood. Lockhaven was only open for 3 days before our wedding and they worked tirelessly to make sure everything was cleaned and accessible for our guests. We were very lucky to have our wedding there as the water quickly rose above accessibility levels the weekend following. Most venues are very strict with rules as to decorating and everything else, but Lockhaven was very accommodating to our specific wants and needs, and helped with everything we needed. Scott Schaefer made sure everything was done without question. If you are looking for a venue that is beautiful, trustworthy, and accommodating so your big day can go as smoothly as possible without worrying Lockhaven is the place!

I haven’t played Lockhaven in years and it continues to impress. This course is a hidden gem in the Metro East and has the friendliest staff. Special shout-out to Rob and his team for renting me a set of clubs while I was in town and treating me like royalty. I can’t wait to come back and play again!

This summer I have traveled through all of the golf courses in the Grafton, Alton, and Godfrey area and I have to say this golf course is the nicest out of them all. The people there golfing are nice, the people there working are very nice and treat you like family. Over all the experience was very beautiful great holes to play on to just enjoy your day. So fair this golf course is my number 1 rating out of all the golf courses I’ve visited.

Love the layout, love the big mature trees, fairways we're decent. Greens were hairy and slow. Some tee boxes were more dirt than grass or all crab grass. I've played there when it's been in better shape. I'll go back but not this season.

Lockhaven Golf Club hosted a benefit charity today and it did NOT disappoint! Such a beautiful facility and fairway and the fall colors made it a spectacular event. The staff there are world class and everybody had a fantastic time. Great food as well! Compliments to the chef! Such a lovely day and such a great time! Thank you so much for making this day so special! You ALL rock!!!

My husband and his friends golf here regularly and are always very happy with everything from the greens down to the staff helping them with any of their needs. We come in and eat at the restaurant (Heinrichs) and am always impressed with how great the food is as well as the presentation and service by the staff and the facility. It feels very classy, yet comfortable and relaxing. I will always be returning guest.

Very poor wedding & reception experience! The outdoor setting was nice but the sound system was pathetic and several strands of decorative lights were burnt out.
The in house caterer claimed to have made enough food for 240 people but with 175 in attendance, ran OUT of food with 6 tables of 8 guests left unfed.
Also, the bartenders would just walk away for several minutes with no explanation and a line of people waiting... For all I've heard about this place, I was extremely disappointed.
EDIT: I have heard from this business and staffing changes have been made in the areas that fell short during this wedding and the booking family compensated.

My friend and I played there today. We accidentally payed to play there yesterday when the tee time was booked without realizing our mistake till we arrived. Rob was incredibly accomodating, he made sure we were able to get on the course without any issues and also showed us around the facility. Rob's definitely went above and beyond to take care of us. I will definitely be back.
