Little Valley Inn - Mariposa, California

My girlfriend and I spent two very nice nights at the Little Valley Inn in April 2024.
The reception was very warm and friendly. Christine is always extremely helpful with any request.
The rooms, as well as the entire property, are very cozy, clean and fantastically beautiful.
On our next visit to Yosemite Park we will definitely choose the Little Valley Inn again - but then for more nights.

a small, great inn to start from here in the Yosemite National Park. the hosts were very friendly and responded to our requests. Otherwise a nice secluded quiet location with its own veranda. The breakfast is also to be commended. We'd love to come back.

Bane

1. Rooms fridge smelled like rotten fish, the whole room would smell when you open it.

2. Pillows smelled like BO or somebody pissed on them. Had to put my shirt ontop of the pillow case.

3. Breakfast isn't breakfast, its a snack. It costs maybe 10$ to refill their breakfast options everyday for all their customers. 2 slices of ham in a bag, hard boiled eggs. I am not a picky eater and I would give the breakfast a 3/10.

4. Hotel has green grass in their photos, but when we went in the prime spring, there wasn't any grass at all. which means if there isn't grass in the spring then there probably hasn't been grass there in 5+ years. They are using outdated photos.

5. Hotel is 1 hour and 40 minutes away from Yosemite. Looks like a 30-40 minute drive on maps but its a hassle driving 3+ hours just to get to Yosemite. You will be hungry again once you made it to Yosemite due to their cheap options of breakfast.

I would give this place 2/5 stars and I'm being generous for the price I paid for this experience. They make way too much profit to keep their hotel like this.

My husband and I traveled from Southern California for a long getaway and this place was perfect for us! Christina, the owner, was so friendly and easy-going, she gave us great advice about places to eat and things to do in the area. The property was well taken care of, the rooms were clean and spacious, and there were plenty of breakfast goodies to choose from. We loved the place--offered us a great home base for our weekend adventures. We will definitely be repeat customers.

We thought this was perfect for a 3 night stay and back and forth to Yosemite. When we got back from the park, we found sitting on the back porch was a very relaxing way to unwind. The room was clean and functional for 3 adults. Christine was very helpful with questions about the park, this was our first time at Yosemite. The breakfast is a little light, but we were pleasantly surprised with the overall value compared to other options. I recommend this location and would return if we ever come back to Yosemite.

Our stay was nice and peaceful. It has a nice quiet, and relaxing location which is exactly what we were looking for. The room was clean and had a comfortable bed. The homemade muffins at breakfast were delicious!! Would definitely recommend staying here and it's located in between two different entrances to Yosemite National Park!!!

We loved our stay at this quaint Inn! The room was spacious and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The large patio was wonderful and provided a beautiful place to enjoy coffee in the morning and star gaze at night. The grounds and gardens were lovely. The continental breakfast had everything we needed. Check in and out were a breeze. We will definitely be back.

We stayed at Little Valley Inn for five days and had a wonderful time! The Inn has just been renovated; the rooms are charming and very comfortable. We began and ended each day with coffee or a glass of wine on the deck overlooking rose trees and listening to the birds. The breakfast was just right with many healthy options. A delightful, relaxing experience.

We liked being outside the bustle of Yosemite for the night and enjoyed the beautiful drive to the park.

Location: Mariposa is a nice, small tourist town with interesting gift shops. Butterfly Creek Winery is a fun destination that gave us a feel for the countryside – it’s nice and casual with delicious, affordable wines.
