We stayed here while attending graduation festivities at the Univ. of Illinois, Champagne-Urbana. ||||Oak Meadows is a lovely B&B, about a half hour from campus - and well worth the beautiful drive. A welcoming destination that lives up to everything previous reviewers have described. ||||Our stay was delightful, the rooms are comfortable and spacious. Linda is a wonderful host, and the breakfasts each morning were delicious. ||||We would stay here again, and highly recommend it to others.

We booked this bed & breakfast for the 2014 University Of Illinois graduation event. Because we were late in making arrangements everything on campus was booked. We reluctantly settled for a place 15 miles off campus as it was the only thing left. What an unexpected surprise! As it turns out one of the best parts was the serene beauty of the drive from campus to the lodging (especially for those who don't live in the rural midwest with farmland and corn fields as far at the eye can see). Being from Los Angeles, we're not use to driving for 10 straight miles without seeing a single passerby and scarcely a house or building (and the location seemed a little peculiar at first). When you arrive it is to the sight of a classic country home surrounded by dozens of oak tress and a quiet river that runs past the property. You feel an immediate sense of peace. Our accommodations were quaint and comfortable. The hostess Linda was delightful and terrific company during our morning breakfast which she prepared elaborately each morning. After breakfast be sure to take a stroll on the grounds, to the river or just for some fresh air on a quiet country road. In twenty minutes you can be at the campus or to whatever event you have planned in nearby Champaign. If you're coming from out of town for some university related events as we did but you want your stay to feel like a vacation consider this B&B over the dozens of chain motels the city has to offer, for the price you won't be sorry. Large gazebo next to the river makes for a great wedding/reception locale.

Linda was very warm and friendly. The bed was very comfortable with silky sheets and suite was large, and pleasant. The room had outdated decor and the room need dusting.|Breakfast was delicious and served with great care.
