Had the occasion to stop by here on a Saturday afternoon to visit friends. The staff member that came out to greet us was kind and friendly and found us a place to park our truck with 32' trailer. No complaints or issues, he just hopped on his golf cart, and led us to a spot we could park while we visited. Thanks KOA.

My family has been going to Lena KOA for 15 years! Each time we are warmly greeted by staff and are very pleased with the accommodations. We have always stayed in cabins, which are clean and comfortable. Throughout the summer they have activities for the kids and a very nice pool. We love Lena KOA! Highly recommend!

Our summer road trip adventure lead us to this great KOA site in Lena, IL. We rolled in at 1030p, the owners were waiting on us. Lead us to our RV site for the night. Very kind and accommodating (certainly didn’t have to wait on us but it was so nice). Woke up the next morning to get on our way, was truly able to see the camp site in day light. It was absolutely an adorable location. The grounds were clean and well kept. I could see why there are seasonal guests there. ||We are fortunate to have come across this gem of a location and hope to visit it our way back home.

Our favorite KOA! This place has it all — clean campground, comfy cabin accommodations, helpful staff, great family activities, and super fun themed weekends. Perfect for elementary school-aged kids. There’s so much to do on-site that we haven’t needed to explore around town, but we have our eye on nearby SplashLand Family Water Park for the kids and Lena Brewing Company for future adult nights out. We always leave with the best memories — and usually a new reservation : )

Very peaceful and they send text to keep you aware of the activities they have. The week we was there they had Christmas in July decorating contest for best campsite decoration. There were quite a few participants. Fun to go around and look. We had some very bad weather coming our way and they kept us up to date on that as well.

Great campground, friendly staff. Lots of activities for kids. Some sites are a little snug. There was a bags tournament on the weekend we were there. I partnered up with another camper and we almost won. We came in second in the doubles. Overall, great place to stay.

We had an amazing stay in cabin 32, the deluxe cabin with a loft. I had never been to a place like this before and I was pleasantly surprised by the amenities. They really make you feel like you are camping on your friend's property. |Kitchen was well stocked for utensils, plates, pots, pans, soap, paper towels. We used our own sponges and kitchen towels and a few mixing bowls for bigger meals. I way over packed kitchen gear! Gas grill, Warm showers, great a/c (baby monitor said the queen bedroom was 65 degrees in July!), great creature comforts for those looking for a glamping experience. The outside porch was lovely, though we somehow had more bugs on our site than our family that stayed in a basic cabin down the way. They deliver ice and firewood quickly. They text you when fun stuff is beginning, like the kids train rides or music night by the fire and when the store was closing. I really appreciated that for my 3 year old who loved that train.|The pool can get crowded but we always got a space and people were respectful of the little kids needing more space. The pool has two steps to get in the shallow end which was great for my 15 month old to play. The place is big but not so big. A quick run back to the cabin for something was totally possible.|It's very quiet at night, but not dead. I'm used to camping next to a bunch of drunk guys and that is NOT what this was. Just people sitting by their fire talking. |The staff was wonderful and knowledgeable and went above and beyond. I loved it. I rebooked immediately.|We did have two notes about the cabin sleeping arrangements. First, the bunk beds were very uncomfortable. We saw the bunk beds in another cabin and they were twice the thickness of what's in the deluxe cabin. We weren't expecting great mattresses, but our friends left early it was so hard on them.|Second, the loft. It's very short My 3 year old kept bonking his head, it's SHORT up there. And the stairs are steep. it's great for elementary+ aged kids, but I wound up sleeping up there because i was scared for my little one in the middle of the night. It's carpeted with two mattresses like the bunk beds on the floor. It was fine for me, but the carpet was a little on the questionable side for me. My son kept telling me about the toothpaste on the floor I imagine it's tough to get a good vacuum up there and it wasn't totally disgusting, just not great.
