We stayed in several b&b’s this one was the best. Right when you walk through the door we were greeting and had a tour of the house. The decor was beautiful and very clean. The breakfasts were awesome, Resa accompanied my husband’s diet, everything was delicious from the homemade pastry to the fruit dish to the main entree. The hollandaise sauce was so yummy. At 4 pm there was a charcuterie board with either wine or beer and great conversation. Such a nice treat to come back to from being in town all day. The hospitality was above and beyond all the places we stayed. This will be our new spot in Galena. Can’t wait to come back.

We felt like we had gone back in time. Not only is the house unbelievably elegant and beautiful, but it’s on top of a bluff overlooking lovely galena. Resa and Chris are hosts extraordinaire, paying attention to every detail. The breakfasts and afternoon charcuterie tray with beverages of your choice are superb. Stay here - you will love it, leave refreshed and go home to book your next visit.

As sort of Galena aficionados, we've stayed in many B and B's over the last thirty years there but our stay at the Lamberson Guest House was in a new league. Every detail was thought of and our stay was perfect. The food was outstanding, the happy hours generous, and the room was charming and comfortable. We felt warmed and welcomed and we truly hated to leave. The Larsons are wonderful hosts that work hard to make their guests feel pampered and comfortable. We want to return soon to enjoy that patio!

The location is great, the house is beautiful, the breakfasts are scrumptious, and Resa and Chris are warm and welcoming. The three course breakfast, bedroom (we stayed in the Mary suite), and hosts were absolutely fantastic. Wine/beer and cheese at 4pm every day. Free parking. Only issue for some would be long flights of stairs leading to downtown. However, there are alternate routes. We will come again!

Excellent B&B, good food and atmosphere, great hosts, classic old Galena house with period furnishings of the 1880’s. Pets: Lucy and Jake are nice additions. Breakfast always delicious. “Happy Hour” at 4 pm each day. Have stayed there many times, never been disappointed.
