Dear La Bella Pizza manger:

I'm writing to express my disappointment with the Mexican pizza I purchased today. Unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The pizza lacked flavor and was missing essential ingredients, including beans and onions. Specifically, I requested half jalapenos, but it seemed like most of the toppings were omitted.

I've enjoyed your Mexican pizza in the past, which is why I was surprised by the poor quality of today's pie. To prevent similar issues in the future, I suggest implementing quality control measures to ensure consistency in your dishes.

I hope you'll take my feedback seriously and make necessary improvements.

I ordered for delivery. I was told it was busy and it would be about an hour and 20 minutes. Not a problem. After 2 hours I called back and I was told the driver had my food and it would be delivered soon, still not a problem. After three hours I called back and I was told my food never got made. Canceled my order and not sure I will order again.

I've been going to La Bella for years. I went yesterday with a party of 12. Food wasn't very good. Pizza had a lack of cheese on all four. Salad wasn't fresh and browning, beer was flat, I ordered our chicken wings plain with sauce on the side. Wings came out with some sort of spicy seasoning which they said was plain, but my entire table disagreed. Service was good and prompt, but our entire experience was lackluster and very disappointing. La Bella please do better.

This is my first time here. A friend suggested this place for good pizza. This pizzeria stood for 60 years, and it's one of the famous pizzeria in Chula Vista.
At first, I thought of dining outside, but I wanted to experience this wonderful place. Once we're seated, the service was not there. We waited a few more minutes to no avail.
We decided to order out and have outside dining experience.
At the front desk, we ordered Italian Meat Lover pizza. They said it will 15mins to cook. So we time it.
After 15 minutes, I went inside, and the pizza was waiting.
Let tell you what, the pizza was amazingly delicious. Big chunk of meat, perfectly seasoned pizza sauce, and the dough was nice crisp at the bottom and soft in the inside.
I would rank this place on top of my list.
Later, I found out that there was only one server working in the dining area that i saw. And the dining area was half full.
I would recommend this place.
Parking is limited. It has handicap accommodation. Family friendly. And front desk staff are friendly. 5 star on my book.

It has a pretty old and worn feel, but several children are running and playing there daily, so I guess that's inevitable. I was displeased with the $8 charge for "cake service"
As they provided a handful of plates and spoons, which I could've, bought at the dollar store for $2 and had plenty left over. I wanted forks. Spoons made it alot harder to serve. Also I forgot to bring candles and they didn't have any to offer. The servers were nice til the end of the night. I understand people are anxious to go home, but they kept throwing away food and drinks that we asked them not to. We paid about $700 for the party and had several left overs. Several pitchers of soda, most of the kids were still thirsty after the games had been turned off, but they had already gathered all our cups so the kids couldn't have a drink. I asked for some to go cups 🥤 but the server brought 1 small cup, so I had no choice but to allow everything that I paid for be thrown in the trash. I was not at all happy about that.

This place was fine, like one of those historic small businesses that locals swear by but yeah sure. Walking in the front, you are greeted by a stark long white counter. If you are to dine in, you are taken down a narrow passage to the dining area in the back. It has very dated decor that I assume gives comfort to older patrons who have been coming for years. The food was okay. The local I was with said the Mexican pizza was their best pie. It was okay. Service was the highlight.

My family has been patronizing this restaurant for the better part of 50+ years. They've been around for a while, and were possibly in a different location many moons ago. The back part of the restaurant was added maybe 7+ years ago, which is great! There's an arcade for kids, a few billiard tables, and plenty more seats. I remember as a kid sitting in the main restaurant when the walls had carpet. The food here is top-shelf! Pizza is incredibly substantial--you'll only need 2 pieces. Great tasting spaghetti, anti-pasta salad is also fabulous, and they have THE BEST garlic bread on the planet, hands down! The service is always great! Love this Chula Vista gem!

La Bella is a Chula Vista institution. Their arcade and pool hall are awesome for families with kids. It’s definitely a really fun hang out spot on family or game nights.

The food is pretty good for the most part. The pizzas, jalapeño poppers, and salads are all really great choices. I’d generally avoid their spaghetti options — the tomato and marinara sauces they use on them are rather bland.

The bar is great! A lot of choices and good draft beers with a fun staff. Come on down to La Bella for great pizza and beer, plus a game or two of pool!
