As a former massage therapy instructor turned nurse, this is where I go when I want to spoil myself. Both administrative and clinical staff are kind, experienced, skilled, and professional. They keep track of my preferences and LMTs and estheticians are familiar with them before they even bring me back. Amenities and locker room are beautiful and well maintained. Their teas are wonderful. It is quite pricey, but in this case, I feel I’ve always gotten what I paid for. It is meant to be an experience above and beyond your typical weekly treatment at a local spa and they don’t disappoint.

Went here for a day of my spring break and it was amazing!!!!! I got the hydrotherapy citrus reviver and it was one of the best services I have received at a spa. The locker rooms were extremely clean as was the overall facility. I loved the little snacks and different flavors of water. The massage chairs in the relaxing room were so comfy!! I also enjoyed wearing the large fluffy robe all day and being able to use the hot tub, sauna, steam room, and cold tub before and after my service! I will be back!

Also all the staff was so friendly! I was reading in one of the rooms and it was a little darker. A worker asked and brought me a little reading light to borrow which I felt like was above and beyond!

First of all, my massage was a 6 star experience. She was very attentive, communicative, and knowledgeable.

But, let's talk about the spa. You basically have to walk through the gift shop on the way in and out, which doesn't set you up for zen. The womens locker room is rather cramped. There are only a few bathrooms and showers, so people were waiting in lines. I did appreciate the fluffy robes though.

The main relaxation area is rather "cold" and without any joy or personality. It's supposed to be a quiet area, but that doesn't seem to be enforced at all throughout the property. Although there are some comfy massage chairs, they are separated by these white curtains that make it feel like a weird hospital bed.

The area with the hot tub, cold plunge, and sauna were fine. It was really loud with people chatting.

For nearly $400 I don't think I'd recommend this spa over anything else in the suburbs.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Kohler Water and Spa. From the moment I arrived, I was taken aback by how crowded it was. The relaxation lounge, which I was looking forward to, was completely packed, and there wasn’t a single seat available. The locker room left a lot to be desired as well — there were only three showers, no hand towels, and no private area to change. After managing to get into my robe, I went to the deep relaxation room to unwind, but there was a staff member cleaning, which was great, but she was making an excessive amount of noise, completely ruining the peaceful atmosphere I was hoping for. In addition, there was loud talking, which was not addressed by the staff. It felt like no one was concerned about maintaining a calm, tranquil environment.

The massage was equally underwhelming. I had a male therapist, and unfortunately, his hands were rough. I specifically communicated that my shoulder couldn’t handle a lot of pressure, but that my back could, hoping for a customized experience. He did adjust the pressure for my shoulder, but that was about it. The entire treatment felt like a rushed body rub, with no therapeutic benefit or attention to my specific needs. I even considered asking him to stop early, but I didn’t want to lose the money I had spent, so I endured the full 50 minutes.

Additionally, I didn’t appreciate that all of the areas were co-ed. It made me feel uncomfortable, especially in a setting where I was trying to relax. The overall experience lacked privacy and tranquility.

The cleanliness could also use improvement, but it could be done in a more discreet manner. For example, I noticed staff pushing around noisy carts while cleaning, which only added to the disturbance. The sauna is the size of a personal home one and the steam room a bit bigger.

Overall, I left the "spa day" feeling more uptight and stressed than when I arrived. It was a far cry from the luxurious, relaxing experience I had anticipated.

They only get 2 stars because they took some $$$ off my balance. But I will never go back..

Love it! I have been multiple times. Always a lovely experience. Came in for a body wrap and was so impressed how relaxing it was. I love the sauna and cold plunge. Took a nap in the quiet room and finished my visit with a shower in the ladies locker room. Robes are comfortable. Snacks and tea available too! Usually have lunch in the cafe but skipped it this time. Went for a work experience and always will return!

A dermatologist had me apply strong steroid cream twice daily for psoriasis of fingernails over a period of nine months without change. A second opinion postulated vey painful injections. A psoriasis specialist opined this condition was not psoriasis without any diagnosis or treatment. My spouse suggested a manicure. After only four visits, Ulyana at Kohler Burr Ridge "trained my nails," erasing these unsightly embarrassing maladies.

I went there for the first time the other day and it was worth every penny! I got a deep tissue massage from Brian and it was just what I needed! It was my first time getting one and he was very understanding, answered all of my questions, and explained what he was doing so I wouldn’t be in the dark about it throughout the massage process. I highly recommend requesting him!

Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend Kohler spa in Burr Ridge and this used to be one of my favorite spas.

The spa itself was very overcrowded, loud, and dirty with towels and cups littered everywhere. There were so many people there and sadly very few were following the quiet rules. At one point there was a group talking very loudly and then started yelling in the pool area. There were also people talking very loudly in the deep relaxation area.

Sadly, no one from the staff asked anyone to quiet down and left it to the other patrons which caused several disagreements. They did demand that I stop reading my Kindle due to their new no technology rule. I understand no phones, but not being able to read a book while relaxing makes absolutely no sense. They tried telling me it was illegal because of cameras but Kindles do not have cameras and no other pool I’ve ever been to have banned phones or Kindles.

The massage itself was just okay. My therapist was very rushed, got me a few minutes late and ended services a few minutes early because it was so crowded. I also asked her to increase the pressure several times but she was unable to (probably from exhaustion being booked back to back all day).

I brought my concerns to the manager who told me she doesn’t make the rules. She said the rules are made in Wisconsin and offered me no other solutions.

Overall, for the price, you can get a much better spa experience and massage at any number of places in the Chicago area. Sadly, I will not be returning until management has changed.
