A bustling busy port town. The cruise ship dock area throngs with people. The architecture is vivid and colorful. It's definitely a bright place to be.
Just as well, since they say that in Ketchikan it rains every 20 minutes day and night, but not for long.
The little tourist shops are knick-knacky on the quay, but walk around the interesting town a few blocks inland and you'll find better made and better priced items. The supply of fossilized mammoth bones for pen knife handles is dwindling, but they're still to be found.
Once you push through and out of the packed tourists by the qual, this is a lovely town to walk around. Very flat, and very picturesque.

Excellent location and easy access with a very short easy walk into town. Friendly staff. We took a wildlife cruise tour and had no issues getting in or out and back to our ship. Love this town. So pretty!

A busy place with the capability to hold up to 5 cruise ships at a time. From our ship we had great views of the tourist area of town and down to the pier as well as the arrivals and departures of like sized cruise ships.

I'm a Fairbanks born Alaskan, first time in Ketchikan. I fell in love with the dock area. Thank y'all for being such a beautiful community!! I'm moving from Alaska, and Ketchikan was my last goodbye to Alaska for the moment. I love you, Ketchikan!!

Ketchikan is a great place to walk around after docking. Many places are within walking distance, including shops and the famous Creek Street. At the time of my visit the salmon were trying to go upstream and jumping. It is quaint, beautiful and a nice place to wonder.

Well designed docks that offer easy entry onto berthing cruise ships.
A number of souvenir shops front onto the Berth. Most prices are similar to shops on FRONT STREET.
There is a free shuttle bus that operates from the berth area and takes you around town and up to the Totem Heritage Centre

So many jellyfish around, the little white ones called Moon Jellyfish and the orange called Lion's Mane.
Stained glass panels decorate the street lights along the waterfront walk in Ketchikan port. Love them!

We loved this stop. #1 Juneau was our only excursion. We did a 2 mile hike to the Glacier/waterfall. Beautiful foliage and a nice foot path. Very nice experience, even if you have bad knees and bad backs. It was worth the added aches and pain. Lol, truly it was.
