We had a wonderful experience at the Kenai Princess Wilderness Lodge—it was the most pleasant of the four Alaska Princess lodges we stayed at during our trip. Unlike the larger, more crowded lodges, this hotel had a cozy, intimate feel, with cabins designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding nature, providing a genuine wilderness experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They even offered us impromptu rides in the van when we needed to get back up the hill from the river or when we were walking to our cabins! Speaking of the river, exploring the area was a delight. It was a short walk downhill from the main lodge, and we were lucky enough to witness pink salmon making their way up the stunning turquoise waters. Paired with the beauty of the surrounding mountains and trees, this was a spectacular experience. Another highlight of our stay was signing up for the aurora call and, sure enough, we got the call! At 1:00 AM, we stepped outside our cabin and were greeted by the magnificent northern lights. It was an unforgettable experience. Overall, we highly recommend this lodge for anyone seeking a peaceful and authentic nature getaway.

My wife and my favorite of the Princess Resorts. The log cabins style rooms are awesome. Having a wood burning stove in the cabin was cool. Shuttles are available from cabins to the guest services building but my wife and I loved the beautiful walk. We really enjoyed the trails around the lodge as well. Food was great and the staff were really helpful and friendly.

What fabulous lodge! The room was outstanding as far as comfort, complete with wood burning stove. There was plenty of space to relax and enjoy our time at this lodge. It was an unexpected surprise when we arrived based on the other lodges we stayed at during our land portion of our Princess tour. I would highly recommend this lodge as part of your experience with Princess. The restaurant food was very good, service was a bit hectic when someone did not show up, but they handled it all very well.

We had a reservation and stopped by at approximately 2pm to see if we could check in early. We were told that nothing was available at the moment and we would receive a call when our room was ready. We gave our phone number and went and found things to do. We never received a call. We went and burned time and called the hotel at approximately 6pm. Our room was available. The bathroom was pretty dirty with hairs. There was no bedding for the sofa bed. There was no wifi available in our lodging but we could go to lobby if it was needed. This is the first lodging product I have seen in over 20 years with no refrigeration in the room. Not that big a deal except we have an insulin dependent diabetic in the family. Overall, it was a comfortable bed. Definitely an average lodging product that is a bit overpriced for the level of amenities and service provided. The view and having the princess cruise likely increase the demand drive the price but definitely not worth the value received. I have been a GM for over 25 years in the hotel industry.

We’d wanted to stay at the Kenai Princess Lodge for several years. The wait was worth it. It’s a spectacular setting in an aspen forest perched along the famous Kenai River. The lush grounds are filled with flowers carefully maintained by the staff. The high ceiling rooms are huge, with a wood-burning fireplace and deck. The restaurant and bar are quaint with great food at reasonable prices. Don’t miss the outdoor deck that overhangs the river. Bring a book or iPad, the cell service is great.

Wonderful 2 days here. Amazing views of snow capped mountains from our cabin and the lodge deck. Great food and cocktails. Excellent service.
Want to particularly thank servers/bartenders who were so friendly and engaged us in conversation: Rachel, Tara, Bailey and Virginia.

And the front desk staff who were so very accommodating and easy to engage with.

Beautiful and quiet area surrounded by nature. Pitches with electricity, clean and heated bathrooms, working wifi. Laundry with coins with the possibility of changing cash not far away and a small store with various snacks. Affordable price. Wonderful staff, friendly, helpful and helpful (thank you David). We were very pleased to stay here, if possible we will gladly return.

After a long day, we arrived at this Princess Wilderness Lodge in the evening exhausted. The front desk staff was both welcoming and friendly. We were pleasantly surprised by how large and comfy the room was for our family (5 of us). I liked the fresh air in the morning and the stunning beauty of the surrounding, such as the mountains and the Kenai River. ||There is no internet connection in the room, but high-speed internet is available in the main lodge. For guests staying in the larger rooms (like ours), they are able to park outside their building. There is a laundry room located between buildings 4 & 5 -- users in other buildings may find it a little inconvenient. Be sure to have a travel hamper or a big laundry bag. The coin machine on the washer we used was not working properly. I recommend downloading the app on the washer to pay for the washing and drying.
